should you decide to try the "new video card option", take a look at the attatchment, the back of your computer prolly looks something kinda like this. The question is, when you plug your monitor in, is it in spot "B" (by the keyboard, mouse, printer, etc) or spot "A" (off by itself on one of the metal slats) if it's by "B" you can usually add a new video card without taking anything out, and just disabling the current one. Feel free to PM me if you need help doing this. if it's by "A" you'll want to remove the current video card and replace it with a new one. It's pretty easy to find a decent video card for less than $50. P.S. Another tip for changing a video card that will make things go more smoothly: before you begin, change your video driver to a generic one, and set your resolution to 640x480. then, power off the machine and put the new card in. Doing this helps ensure when you start back up with the new video card, it will be able to display your desktop, and you can finish the rest of the install from there. Again, if you need more details on how to do this, let me know.
