It certainly can't, but remember... It's always better to be rich and happy than poor and miserable.

Oh, man... I've had one mal but unfortunately I've not been able to recreate it, and I was kicking myself for not recording at the time. The exit point was the west-most tower of the "bay bridge" I dumped, the canopy opened half way, stuck like that, I didn't slow down at all, frapped in hardcore, and then the game froze like that.

I made mine with the PS2 version, and it's really hit or miss with the flailing before you track. On the Mt Chilead jump at the end of my video, I ran off the camper and started frantically tapping forward on the control stick until I saw him start to track, then held it. He still wobbles a bit, but that was about as good as I was able to get it. I haven't tried playing the PC version.

If the video is shot in good light, with a good camera/lens, skydiving tends to make an excellent demo clip for displays. -Lots of quick motion -Eye catching scenery like oceans, mountains, sunsets/clouds -Bright colored jumpsuits -Human faces seems like a winning combination to me

Heh, yeah I was laughing at a couple of those when I watched it too. Also, he needs to work on his tracking I'm working on a sequel to my last video (linked again cause the file changed a while back) and I'm playing with getting the exits from different starting camera angles. You can really have fun with this and some additional editing. I might borrow a couple of the exit points I saw here to complete it

Well I couldn't just call you "man" ...

Man dies after 50 hours of playing computer games
champu replied to BillyVance's topic in The Bonfire
Is it scary that as soon as I read "Man dies after 50 hours of playing computer games" I immediately knew it was a South Korean guy playing Starcraft at an internet cafe? -
Great to hear it. oh, and numbers... :16:0 One 10-way sunset track Saturday, 15 freefly jumps.

I just passed the five year mark (do they even have five year reunions?) and I'm still going to school. Through highschool, undergrad, grad school, and moving all over the country, my best friends have gotten better and acquaintances have moved on. There's a handful of people from highschool I haven't seen since that I wouldn't mind catching up with, but with a class of 650+, there's a few I could pass on seeing as well. I doubt the latter would stop me from going though.

schweeeeeeet. congratulations Thing.

Maxx: that's an awesome exit point. I ended up doing a hop, skip, and a jump down the little slope at the top of that spire, missed the outcropping by inches, and tracked between the treetops. I ate shit on the outcropping the first time I tried it, the second time I pulled too low smashed head on into the cliff face on the other side of the river and fell into the drink, but the third time (much like the proverbial porridge) was just right. edited to add: In the video I made a while back, I jump off the feed of the big ear parabolic antenna. an even better exit you can do at that site is jump off the top of the reflector, fall between the feed masts, dump so you open directly between the feed and the reflector, and fly your canopy out of the antenna.

I suppose that's not too bad then... I'd want to be first though. That way I could just hold my breath, wolf whatever it was down, and then go off to the side and yack, making sure all the other contestants heard that "special" sound that only vomit hitting concrete can make.

The thing I never understood about that show, is that if you eat the disgusting thing of the day, but can't keep it down, the fact that you weren't afraid to eat it doesn't count for anything.

how about a "/dev/null" forum?

Actually, a serial killer doesn't have to do anything to be considered a serial killer. I guess it's just one of those things that sticks to your reputation even if you haven't done it in a while and you're a little rusty.

I personally think that, collectively, every sport each individual here has ever so much has tried is less mentally demanding and requires less athleticism than any individual sport they haven't tried. Also... What each of you do for a living is, in reality, completely useless. Your day to day tasks could quite adequately be performed by a robot, or in most cases, left completely unattended and the balance of the universe would remain perched atop its fulcrum, exhibiting a sway so minute, its measurement would be impossible even by the most sensitive instrumentation imaginable. Also... Everyone you love or have ever loved is either dead or is going to die, and will be eventually be completely forgotten.

Haven't seen the segment yet, but damn... took them long enough to air it. It seems like forever ago... "could you guys pack over here please so we have some good background activity for the interview... wait no, pack more over here... could you pack slower please... wait, now you're making too much noise, could you pack quieter..."

I'm going to be in Elsinore all weekend but if you need anything, shoot me a PM this evening.

Now, we all know that the moon is not made of green cheese, but what if it were made of BBQ spareribs, would'ya eat it then?

Very cool. As is it's antithesis

I'm highly anticipating that movie... I understand that Bob Saget's version is the most wretched of them all.

The ultimate jump ? Would it physically be possible ?
champu replied to PLFKING's topic in The Bonfire
The noise on the launch platform when the shuttle lifts off gets up to nearly 190dB SPL. That'll most likely cause arrhythmia, if not stop your heart altogether. -
I'm sorry, but with that many laptops and network devices in one spot, there must be at least something illegal being done. The authorities have been notified.
