Are you implying you're still in the closet? Seriously, using threats to project a point, find resolve is ridiculous. I had a big MF back me against a wall in basic because I was doing a duty that wasnot mine and someone cried to him. That wouldn't happen today for a number of reasons. See, in civilization we go thru the courts. WHat happened here was a military siolution for a civilian problem and it looks as though they will get away with it, but if I were advising that 21 yo kid as the idiots walked up I would say: - shut the door - don't say anything - if they persist to break in, get your gun and call the cops. That's how we do it in the civilian world, if they want to impart military justice on a civilian then we'll use our forums and win. Quit trying to militarize the world. Which service were you in exactly? Is that the best you can do? Go back and address the issues and wuit trying to duck under and ad hominem. Actually I asked because it would help me understand where you are coming from. My first suspicion is you were never in or were in for just a short period of time...washed out of basic. If I am right then I'd catagorize you as another civilian with a hard on for the military. If I am wrong and you did serve your enlistment honorably then your argument would carry more weight as you'd have an intimate understanding on how things work in the military. It's pretty easy to tell if someone is lieing about having been "in." First clue is they get defensive when asked about their service. www.FourWheelerHB.com -

Yup...figured that was the reason the other options weren't reported in the original story. Had a Gunny threaten me with violence the second time he caught me on top of the helicopter without my cranial strapped. I think it involved a closet and him being the only one to come out standing...well I can only assume he was threatening violence. Needless to say there wasn't a third time. www.FourWheelerHB.com -

A friend of mine who is white and works as a police officer in Watts bought a beat up old Geo Metro to save money on gas for his commute. He told me he got pulled over a couple times a week because if you're white and in Watts, you are there for only one reason. Also he mentioned that off cuty cops get no special priviledges in Watts because if your an off-duty cop in Watts, you're there for only one reason. This conversation came up because we were talking about The Shield and how it is the most accurate cop show on tv according to him. www.FourWheelerHB.com

I don't really find that look all that sexy but that is probably because I don't wear shirts like that except on extremely rare occasions. I prefer a woman in panties with a simple tank top and no bra. Oh and curves....gotta have curves www.FourWheelerHB.com

The Cost of America's Gun Addiction

.......................................................... Couldn't that change have something to do with other factors. Do these statistics really mean anything at all? Are you saying we need more violent video games and then violence will decrease? I think there are flimsy statics out there to prove about anything. No, I'm not saying that at all. I was just trying to show you there is no apparent correlation between murder rates and violent video games. The murder rates per 100,000 are the same in 2008 as they were in 1960 even though (not because) violent video games are now tremendously popular and out selling all other forms of entertainment. www.FourWheelerHB.com -

Bah. Of course not. Without spoons (guns), there would be no more eating of ice cream (violent crime). Oh, wait, we'll have to ban those cone things (knives), too. And that's why I eat ice cream with chopsticks. Spoons are far too dangerous. www.FourWheelerHB.com -
I fail to see why you are upset.. You got laid - what the hell more do you want?!! I was being sarcastic. Come on Nataly...no man really cares why a woman is sleeping with him. www.FourWheelerHB.com

But why is it just as silly? .................................................................... I can see a very direct link between violence seen over and over on video games or T.V. and violent behavior in kids. I thought Albert Bandura proved the link between observing violence and aggression. Remember the Bobo doll experiment. I read a book recently called, (On Killing). The author was a former Army Ranger who became a clinical psychologist. The author states that it is very hard to train someone to kill another person. But with the proper training it can be done. There is chapter after chapter detailing how it is easier for soldiers and police to kill after spending hours in video game like training. He went on to state that kids are being desensitized to death and violence, in the same manner a soldier or policeman is, when they spend hour after hour playing violent video games. These games are so real that kids often have a hard time sleeping after. Their heart rate remains very high for a long while after. I'm not a research nut. Perhaps there isn't a ton of hard evidence out there yet, but I'm convinced that seein violence (even on TV or Video games) does have an impact. I grew up watching violence once in a while on TV. I loved shows like Bonnanza, Gun Smoke, and wrestling. You've got to admit that the realism to shows like that are a far cry from what kids are watching now..... Murder rates in the US doubled between 1960 and 1976, the year of the first violent video game. Murder rates continued to increase at a much slower rate until it maxed out in 1993. In 1994 the first first person shooter video game called Doom was released. Since then we have seen murder rates consistently decline while video games continued to get increasingly more realistic, immersive, and violent. www.FourWheelerHB.com -
Damn it! And here I thought women have been sleeping with me because I'm fucking sexy. Now who the fuck knows what their reasons were? I feel so dirty....sniff. www.FourWheelerHB.com

You started it. Yes: 1. Guns don't kill anymore than Spoons make people fat. 2. If you REALLY wanted to save lives, you would work against obesity. no, you started it - and you're still being silly (equating a gun to a spoon) i don't have a gun and i'm slim (alright skinny). you next. He's not equating a gun with a spoon. He's equating the act of a gun killing to the act of a spoon making people fat. So if obesity is an epidemic and kills hundreds of thousands annually then why not ban spoons? now you're being silly... Actually, whether you want to recognize it or not, it's a pretty good comparison to your view on guns. I think it's great you don't own a firearm but what makes you think you have the right to deny my right to own a firearm? www.FourWheelerHB.com -

Looking at it like that would mean that the VFW effectively sold the rights to burn their flag one time, and there was no vandalism. If any ordinances were violated due to the actual fire, the VFW commander was an accomplice. No matter how you look at it, the VFW post commander showed a lack of respect for the rule of law, not maturity. I just remembered you are a lawyer. Now our conversation about honesty and society makes perfect sense! www.FourWheelerHB.com -

Right on. Haven't read any Forgotten Realms in a few years, but have over 40 on my shelf...including the "classic" Salvatore books. Did you read Servant of the Shard? By far his best book imo. Also the War of the Spider Queen series is incredible if you like to read about the Drow. The series wasn't written by Salvatore but it was highly influenced by him. Afterall he is the foremost expert on all things drow. He also has another Drizzt book coming out in October. I think he is tired of writing about Drizzt and it is apparent in his writing but this new book has Cadderly from The Cleric Quintet in it so hopefully that renewed his vigor to tell the story. www.FourWheelerHB.com

............................................................. Since when is looking for a cause and effect silly? If a person thinks that the availability of guns are the cause, I'm willing to listen. I may not fully agree, but I don't think their opinion is silly. Really? You've never come across an opinion that you felt was silly? www.FourWheelerHB.com -

I don't personally have a problem with resolving an issue without involving the police providing it is resolved non-violently and no crimes were commited in the process. Quade has a point since the options weren't reported and knowing vets the way I do, I'm not sure involving the police was an option. The other option was left out for a reason imo. www.FourWheelerHB.com -
