There is additional cost for the heavier tandem, but not remotely close to the dollars involved. The extra risk is a bit fuzzy - seems like the FF risk could be lower than with a featherweight who freaks out on the exit. On landing, the extra mass has the potential to wrench the back or the legs, but seems like their fitness/agility as just as significant. Ok let me put it another way....goes to the TI as an incentive because TIs are whiners and don't like to take heavier people. Better? Either way my point is the same.

That sounds very close to the copper thief I posted pictures of being scraped off a power pole after trying to hacksaw something off. Got a nice 45 day banning from the Bonfire for it. Oooohhh THAT explains the "slow down" in Bonfire. www.FourWheelerHB.com

Can anyone help out a US Marine in Iraq?
downwardspiral replied to Skyrad's topic in Speakers Corner
I've never seen a Marine use so many big words. www.FourWheelerHB.com -
Its been my experience the extra charge for tandem students weighing over 200 pounds goes to the TI as compensation for the added risk and responsibility. I don't see how this compares to airlines charging by weight since there is no additiona risk, only additional cost. www.FourWheelerHB.com

In the Marines we called 'em baracks hos although a more pc term would be morale proliferation agents. DZ Ho seems approriate. www.FourWheelerHB.com

The folks here are criticising you for being a man-whore and its probably because your posts are coming off a bit arrogant. Arrogance is confidence lacking humility. Not, in my opinion, a show of insecurity. I personally don't feel you are arrogant but only appear to be because you are being forced to defend your opinion. I truly believe you have it. "It" being the badboy persona. Many would see it as a blessing while many, like me, would see it as a curse. It is an trait that you have to respect. Not because its an admirable trait but because it can inevitibly lead to your downfall. Some here would like to think you treat women badly and break their hearts. I, on the other hand, think otherwise. Women are not stupid and they likely see you for what you are. A short term, hot and heavy relationship with potentially a lot of great sex. After all with all that practice you are probably a decent lover providing you're not selfish. Personally I say go ye forth and fornicate. Just be responsible in your dealings with women and for gods sake....wrap it. www.FourWheelerHB.com

Yep...when I worked in skydiving once upon a time it was always difficult having to tell the overweight lady she couldn't jump because of her weight. I think it would be a "huge" mistake if airlines instituted this policy. All they're going to do is raise prices for heavier people. Not lower prices for lighter people. Otherwise the policy wouldn't make a dent on the bottom line. What a dumbass idea. www.FourWheelerHB.com

Brilliant! A system dependant upon 3 of 5 guys logging in at least every 6 days? 3 of 5 guys worthy of Heaven? Nice! www.FourWheelerHB.com -

I'm glad to hear it. I understand why you didn't want to press charges and I would do the same if put in your position. Fortunately the school felt it was their responsibility to act upon it which was best for all involved. I work part time for a teen transport company that's federally funded. Essentially there becomes a point and time when a judge feels it's necessary for a child to attend a bootcamp or boarding school and we are employed to make sure they arrive unharmed. Its becoming more normal for the system to step in when the parents and the child have been afforded multiple opportunities to steer the child in a more positive direction and yet the child continues to act out. Bootcamp and boarding schools are the child's last chance and hopefully, with proper guidance, whether by drill intructor or 24/7 counseling the child has some success. Regarding the two boys....hopefully they see this as an opportunity and this doesn't end up as just another step towards a potentially troubled future. www.FourWheelerHB.com

It's been 3 and a half years for me. Life just caught up with me so skydiving went in the freezer only to be thawed out when I achieve certain personal goals. For the moment I have mixed feelings between "been there done that" and still having every intention of getting back in the air when life permits. It sucks being forced to grow up. www.FourWheelerHB.com

I'm really late to this thread but just wanted to add something to all those would be parents. When I was really young my dad was taking karate and taught me how to block punches just like he had learned. He spent time with me everyday practicing until I got it right. This turned out to be the best thing he ever taught me because it became second nature and really showed when some kid tried to test me by shoving me or throwing his fists at my face. I would just brush their shoves and punches aside and stand there waiting for the next one. Eventually they would stand back and try to coerce me into throwing a punch but I just stood there prepared to defend my self until a teacher came along and broke it up. Its never too late to get your kids into a martial arts class parents. www.FourWheelerHB.com

Automotive People: I'm Getting Sheistered Again. Help. =(

Headlamp or blinker fluid. Actually saw that under "recommended repairs" when my gf brought me the receipt after getting the oil changed at a Jiffylube. "Healamp fluid low."I definitely recommend avoiding such cheap oil change places at all cost. www.FourWheelerHB.com -
The solution is within you. If you want people to become increasingly moral then you must take it upon yourself not to preach, but to lead by example. Do so not because you fear God but because it is the right thing to do. Its really THAT easy. www.FourWheelerHB.com

HAHA funny bootcamp story. At USMC bootcamp the drill instructors always woke us up screaming at us to get "on line." Meaning to stand at attention in front of our racks facing inward of the squad bay. Anyway this particular morning a recruit who had a top rack jumped out of bed and went running toward what he thought was the line. Unfortunately he jumped out of bed backwards and ended up running full bore into the bulkhead. It took everything I had not to bust out laughing and remain at attention. www.FourWheelerHB.com
