  1. Have you jumped with PD Navigator? FYI thats not a square canopy. So what? Have you heard a canopy called Space? It has the very same airfoil that my Cobalt 135. Space is a student canopy too...
  2. Wow! Your lazy ass expect some liability for a fast $5 packjob? Dream on!
  3. This has nothing to do with skydiving gear or rigging...
  4. You are in sitting position and you can throw your round reserve into clean air. KISS
  5. Why do you think that would be any better than the regular PG setup?
  6. Well, more of them can be in hold, than others can queue for landing within safely separated. Thats all we like to have when we are landing. Some should stay up and keep time and separation to others, than take their space in the queue and land using a recognizable pattern mostly in the same direction. What a pity! Our world is not ideal.
  7. If winds are high that would be less than 15m depending on WL. Is coming downwind as a first man allowed or will get you a talking to. ?
  8. You can land a canopy in any direction of final safely. Its just a question of piloting. If I go for fun in higher winds I would not go down wind, but rather 45-90 degrees side wind than turning into the wind on flare, but this don't come without notice of "do not follow me...." I have seen the other side. Taking off with a big plan of landing, than most of the load(10+) have not realized that winds have changed and got stronger...then they got more fun or at least we did on the ground
  9. Good, old optical way still working, we don't need any gadget for judge the formation.
  10. Spell check does not really help if I write BS.... What is the next video? I have swooped my grandma?
  11. A dog is a real hazard of the landing area. It should not be there.
  12. PD Nav 280 or Manta 288? There is no such a thing like PD Nav 288....
  13. How many times has it happend with you? I got none of that.
  14. World is changing you should be adaptive if you want to survive. Just imagine if winds have changed during your load were climbing to altitude..... If he/she flies a recognizable pattern you can tell the final from the altitude and surrounding. Why is the landing pattern well used term in general aviation? Its still a fine tool for avoiding canopy collisions....
  15. There is no silver bullet. Its fine for some situation and less perfect for others. This only could be true with no wind. There is usually some prefered way of landing out there. Its a lot bigger problem that some folks are not able to fly recognizable pattern..... They suppose have some hint of the landing direction before boarding. They suppose to open high, so they have time to watch others to land.
  16. Sure, just about having some slack between slider and slider stops...... For the record I had about 350 jumps on a Pilot 150 without any hard opening I would remember. If you did not have any hesitation than it was good enough.
  17. You should not go so deep. Buy at least a ZP main canopy.
  18. That's a way to engrave your name into history. Its still just a stupid stunt.
  19. It does not matter. If someone does not know what to look for... I agree dual shoulder could be more simple for learning. After doing 100+ flat packs I was kindda lost in my first some pro-pack.
  20. I like my Triathlon really much for opening fast and reliable.
  21. How many jumps you can make from 2-3K? about 120 So with 120 more jumps you may learn how to land on your feet and you have a better chance not to get your next, new container muddy, grassy or ruined by landing on the termac... or after 120 more jump you might able to know what canopy you want to fly then....
