  1. Siim has completed his FFC on Sunday in Utti/Finland. Congratulations and welcome to the flock!
  2. It can have 9 cells open and _major_ controllability issues. I'm not a TM, but Id jetson something like that.
  3. You do not need clips, clamps or similar for packing. The peace of mind is coming from inside and not for overdoing packing. The key for peace of mind is currency, experience and a good positive attitude. see transcendingfear.com
  4. P2 is a great suit to start. Firebird is a great first suit too. Do not buy any old big suit. A 40 years old sportcar _is_ a sportcar.....
  5. You can jump almost any canopy in your category. Any. If I were you I'd buy one with 150-250 jump. Any popular brand, model would do. It would make no difference for you.
  6. Try to keep the type of material too.
  7. That is quite far from the truth. A removable slider can be beneficial for non-competitive swoopers as well as for non-swoopers in some cases. Not at 300 jumps, but, of course, the original poster will only hear what he wants to hear. Why do you say not at 300 jumps? Is it because it requires more skill than that to use or because the benefits you are thinking of do not apply at 300 jumps. Not disagreeing with you, just wondering. I do not jump an RS, but I do collapse and stow my slider and loosen my chest strap and I have thought that an RS might be nice for the sake of improved field of view under canopy. Because a $10 worth of slocks can do the trick safely and you can still use any packer. Missrigging your RDS can kill you.
  8. No, unless you are a competitive swooper.
  9. I assume that N3 is just as good as N2, than use it as a visual altimeter and logbook only. Get an Optima2!
  10. I hope you still had the old PC. Get it back and try jumping WS with it. If you find opening issues than try to fix them.
  11. FYI: I jump WS with Cobalt 135 and Cazer 24" ZP kill-line PC.
  12. "Rocket" Visa can fly level or even climb.
  13. See results: WS Boogie - Hungary
  14. Anyone has or need a ride in the morning on the 10th of August from Budapest to Siofok-Kiliti , in the afternoon on the 14th of August from Siofok-Kiliti to Budapest. Plan A: I can join someone. Plan B: I can get someone to bring me there, so I can offer 1-2 places.
  15. Well, refusing a safer PAX harness? That's a really interesting attitude!
  16. For what? Swoop or WS? I know one, I haven't jumped it. Less extreme than XF2, opens better than a Stiletto.

Just a step closer to heaven.
  19. I would not do it unless, my manufacturer recommends it. Go ahead, you can be a test jumper.... Why to fix something is not broken?
  20. Some practical information: You can pay with card(VISA/MC/???) at the Siofok/Kiliti airport for food, jump ticket, accomodation.
  21. You seem to miss the point. This is not about doing more than 90 in the pattern. This is about banning 180 FR hooks from swoop area, because some people thinks that FR180 is difficult to setup and dangerous, etc. I'm jumping in a smallish club. We can do whatever hook, because we discuss it beforehand. I know my friends and I know their plans for landing. I don't really think that having this kind of "standards" can replace dialog and communication. I think there should be a requirement for going to the swoop area. You can go there if and only if: you are able to wait your turn and have/create separation you are able to fly a recognisable landing pattern you are able to recognize a landing pattern
  22. Jari K is jumping a Katana 97 with wing suit. Does it mean anything for most of us? I don't think so. Keep in mind that Tony U has escape sleeve on his suits, so he can reach risers without unzipping....
