    Another really excellent series of books are the "Prey" series by John Sandford. They are quick reads, and they are intriguing. The main character is a homicide detective with a lot of issues, and they are all basically serial murder cases. You get to see things from the killer's point of view, too. Another comparable series is the "In Death" series by J.D. Robb. These are about a cop under the same sort of circumstances, but it's slightly futuristic, like 2056 or something like that. They have all sorts of kick-ass toys! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

    Yes, they are pretty good with books, but wait till they get you with music! The good thing about that is, you can copy the songlist for each CD and then just download the music, save a couple of bucks! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

    The worst part about buying all the books is finding a place to store them all. Amen! My room has been taken over by my books. Of course, there are a lot cheaper ways to buy them too. You can find a lot of classics and interesting reads at garage/yard sales or even at little mom and pop antique shops for very cheap. I have a complete set of original hardback Nancy Drews that I bought at a garage sale for $15.00. A lot of people just don't know what they have, and you can buy some really awesome books for like 50 cents. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

    If I couldn't read something factual I would stay away from fiction and read porn, you know good quaIity porn is definately something that will keep you from putting the book down. You do realize that porn is not really reading, right? It's more like staring. Not that I have anything against porn, or the fact that you don't typically read for pleasure! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

    Yes. And to throw out another oldie but goodie, the CS Lewis "Chronicles of Narnia" series. Good for kids, but stuff there for adults as well and a fun read. Yes, those are awesome...I've got the boxed set, which I've recently past on to my 14-year-old sister. She loves them, too, and it's good to know that kids can still relate to at least some of the classics! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

    That's uncalled for. Different strokes for different folks, you know? An author who can get my kids to look forward to reading an 800 page book is all right by me. I agree. I've always been pretty religious, and I guess in some twisted way I see where people are coming from when they say that the HP books are a bad influence. But as a religious person, I see nothing corruptive about the books. They don't PROMOTE magic, they just play on the fantasies of what if there was magic that we've all had at some point. And yes, they are bringing the children in this day and age, who would rather sit in front of a television playing video games all day, back to literacy. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

    Another classic to check out is Ursula K. LeGuin's "Wizard of Earthsea" trilogy. ************************************ I've checked into those; never had a chance to read them, but they're on my list

    I just reread all 4 books this past week...basically b/c I'm excited about the 5th book and I wanted to be freshly reminded of everything so I'd be fully ready for the 5th book. Ok, I know, I'm a dork. A dork that loves to read and reads a lot. ************************************ There's nothing dorky about that...the HP books are some of the best books of all time. I've been through the 1st 4 3 times...The only other books I've read that many times are the LOTR's series and this one romance novel, which I'm sure you're not interested in. Try the "Artemis Fowl" series...by Eoin Colfer. Everyone who likes the HP books or the LOTR books seems to really enjoy it...there are 3 of them right now. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

    It's the way you begin to learn about how to fly your canopy well... Ciels- Michele ****************************** I guess that's true, but the only issue I have with canopy control is flaring, and that's something I have to work on when I land anyway...I love the feeling of freefalling, so I'm a little iffy on the idea of pulling before I have to! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
