I've been pulled over by a state trooper who was based out of West, TX. Talk about good ol' boys! He was in the office with the judge discussing the case before I got there, probably talking about ways to screw me out of more money! But you're right, in social circumstances, I've met a few cool cops. Just not been stopped by them. Lucky for me I don't own an uzi or keep my crack in the car! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

I believe it; I think it's a prerequisite for a Texas cop to have a burning iron rod stuck up his/her ass... You know, I used to hate temp jobs, but now that I've been in a permanent location for over 3 years, I kind of miss the freedom of being a temp. Sure, you get treated a lot less like part of the company "family", but you are also more likely to get away with mistakes or lower levels of productivity. And hey, you can always blame it on "Well, no one ever told me about that!" ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

Working for a whuffo workaholic boss is no excuse! I work for TWO of them, and I pretty much hold my office together! Every time I take off for more than an afternoon, I come back to find that all hell has broken loose. Still, they've already told me I can take off whatever time is necessary to finish up my AFF training. So, if I can get away with that, surely you can find a way to get off for your trips! Which goes back to the old line "Life is what happens while you're making other plans" Perhaps the goal you have achieved is not what you truly wanted out of life in general, but it IS what you wanted out of life at that point in time. Honestly, I'm not sure there is just one thing that could make a person completely satisfied with their lives forever. Again, that means that it's a constant exploration for that one thing, which you may never find. That could be frustrating, but in the meantime, you should be HAPPY with what you've already got. Life is to be enjoyed, not analyzed! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

Well, don't worry too much about repeating a level...I'm on level 3 for the third time now! I'm told it's pretty common, but I'm also told the wind tunnel is a good idea and will fix anything! I'm going out to Miami and probably stopping by the wind tunnel in Orlando on the way, because I'm determined to breeze through the rest of my AFF! Welcome, definitely. I just started, I only have 2 AFF jumps right now, but I'm working on my A license, and I agree that I don't know what took me so long! Okay, so maybe I'm just trying not to offend anyone. The truth is, Texas is the best state in America, and Texans are better people than most. I was trying to be polite, but honestly, I love everything about being a Texan. Perhaps the neurons have fused together, but even with the heat, Texans are a much more friendly breed than many Yankees I've met. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against Yankees; the guy I'm seeing is technically a Yankee. BUT I still think Texans, although not necessarily better than anyone else, are very cool and special in their own way! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

I'd give anything for a dry heat! It's 100 today in Dallas, but we also have a high humidity today (as is usually the case in the summer). Not that I'm really complaining, because I love TX, but just remember that it could always be worse! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
