  1. I just read something on Reddit I had read that that was “domestic content” restrained. Anyway Musk in his own words, from Politico: Elon Musk, the billionaire electric vehicle mogul whom President-elect Donald Trump has tapped to help lead a government efficiency task force, told POLITICO’s E&E News on Thursday that he wants to eliminate tax breaks for EV buyers.
  2. I don’t think Tesla qualifies for either of those. Actually doing away with those would give Tesla a competitive advantage
  3. Green boondoggles will be the first thing on the chopping block.
  4. Well outside the range predicted by CSU and M.Mann, more evidence that the science is far from settled. BTW did NOAA predict a below average global ACE value? If the changing climate results in fewer and less powerful storms would that not be a good thing?
  5. While we had a busier than average season, in the Atlantic basin, with 18 named storms it was below the 23 storms predicted by Colorado State University and laughably below the 30+ storms predicted by climate scientists Michael Mann and company. Globally the story is even more interesting with below average ACE values in the North Indian basin (-67.69%), Northwest Pacific (-25.71%) and Northeast Pacific (-37.78%). Obviously the prediction that warmer global temperatures would result in more numerous and more powerful storms has fallen flat on its face. https://www.foxweather.com/extreme-weather/hurricane-season-2024-summary

Back on topic. As I predicted Russia is abandoning its naval and air bases in Syria.
  9. That is rich, coming from the guys who gleefully cheered when Trump was being targeted.
  10. But didn’t he say time and time again that he would not do so? And just from what is he being protected? Crimes that he didn’t commit? If there was no crime then a pardon would be unnecessary. If Trump were to pursue extralegal means then a pardon would be meaningless. Or are you admitting Hunter was running a criminal enterprise in which the “Big Guy” got a cut?
  11. Still waiting for BillV and company to explain why Hunter needed to be pardoned for crimes he didn’t commit. BillV says the it was because Trump would have pursued extralegal actions against Hunter. Of course that is a red herring, as a pardon would have no effect whatsoever on extralegal actions.

Why would anyone need a pardon? One can only pardon a crime that has been committed , not one that has not. Wait a second, oh I get it. If Team Blue commits a felony it is ok but if Team Red wants to hold them to account it is an abomination.

What is wrong with going after anyone for breaking the law? Just how would Trump do anything “extralegal”? BYW if Trump we’re to pursue anything extralegal Joe’s pardons would be moot
  14. Why couldn’t you beat him up? You just could have identified as a man and taken care of business yourself. Better yet, kicked ass as a woman (whatever that is) since men and women are interchangeable.
  15. Yet I suffer the consequences of my transgressions, unlike Hunter
  16. Just what statute would Trump use to do this?....exactly you have nothing. BYW I have never asked for a pardon. What is wrong with you? Oh BTW if you had done your homework you would know that McCarthy was a Democrat
  17. Revenge for what? Being mean to Trump is not a crime. OTOH if there was malfeasance that was being covered up by the current administration, a bit of sunlight might just be the antidote
  18. I have done my time for the unforgivable crimes of parroting an old joke and answering the question “why would anyone want an AR15” no pardon needed. The question still stands, why did Joe give Hunter such a sweeping pardon (covering a decade + of activities) if there were no underlying crimes committed?
  19. If Hunter wasn’t a criminal he wouldn’t be in jeopardy. The Trump administration can’t create felonies out of thin air and pin it on innocent folks. What did Joe pardon Hunter for if not actual crimes?
  20. Then why did Joe pardon Hunter after he repeatedly said he wouldn’t? Why the sweeping scope of the pardon when a simple commutation would suffice?

1.4 million dollars in unpaid taxes for a family member whose only job is selling access and influence to government is pretty horrendous, illegal possession of classified material is pretty bad as well. (At least Trump had the ability to declassify) Q: Just why did Joe issue such a sweeping pardon to Hunter when a simple commutation would have sufficed, especially after he repeatedly said he would not do so? A: Because Biden knew that tax evasion and gun charges were just the tip of the iceberg. As I said on another thread, it was a tacit admission of guilt and Joe knew that if a Trump justice department kept pulling on the Hunter thread it would eventually lead to Joe.

They have already been discovered, tried, convicted and pardoned

Actually that would be Biden. Trump actually lost money during his tenure. Biden on the other hand, leveraged his influence to enrich himself and his family. His malfeasance was exposed when he issued a blanket pardon for his criminal son Hunter for crimes yet discovered.

Trump is a bully by nature, he cowers in the face of strength and exploits weakness. Putin is now weak. If someone could let him know that we could confiscate Russian billions held in western nations and have Russia actually fund the war against them while the US defense industry benefits and taxpayers are off the hook, I think he would go for it

I hope you are joking. I think the new powers that be will soon be uninviting their Russian guests. No need for intervention.
