  1. Business folks tend to be about business, not self righteous crusades. She said she had to deal with constant complaints of SHWs being offended, sometimes on behalf of others who took no offense. “They are a pain in the ass, but the environment being what it is, have to be handled with kid gloves. It’s best not to have to deal with them at all” (her words) Her sentiment is being echoed throughout business as companies across the spectrum drop their SGI initiatives
  2. I’m not that companies head of HR and race, and gender DON’T matter, that is why they should not be included on a resume
  3. An employee is usually part of a team and dropping a woke SJW into a workgroup is a recipe for disaster, (according to her) especially when there are many other qualified candidates who are less likely to be high maintenance.
  4. Was at a corporate holiday party and was discussing woke to their head of HR she told me pronouns were a red flag and anyone who put them on their resume was likely a lawsuit waiting to happen and recommend to her staff that they be deposited in the circular filing cabinet.
  5. “The audience of the long-running show hosted by Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski is down 35% among total viewers, averaging just 720,000, and down 37% among viewers in the advertiser-coveted demographic ages 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research.” “MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” has lost 43% of its total audience in 2024 since Election Day” Looks like the Lefties’ self righteous intolerance and hatred extends to their own kind. Meanwhile at the other end of the political news spectrum… “Fox News has seen its audience surge. In November, the Murdoch family’s network captured a 70% share of the cable news audience in the weeks since the president-elect won another term in the White House; that’s the largest in its history.” Looks like Americans like winners, not whiners.
  6. Ha! Typical lefty response. When you have no good argument, go with ad hominem. The fact of the matter is that there is no climate crisis and no amount of hyperbole can change that. There have been dozens of pearl clutching prognostications that have failed to materialize. You are like the guy in every generation who stands on a street corner wearing a sandwich board claiming “the end is near”
  7. No my young and very confused friend, I just bought it to everyone’s attention when it did not warm as predicted. My position has always been: 1. it’s not warming (when it’s not warming, using NOAA data) 2. It has been warming since the end of the last ice age (in fits and starts). 3.slightly warmer temperatures and higher CO2 are a net benefit. 4. Even if higher CO2 levels were deleterious, it wouldn’t stop China, India and the rest of the developing world from continuing to use fossil fuels. 5. The predictions of doom have repeatedly failed to materialize. Those are all pretty solid points. But you forgot about a couple of your greatest hits “The reason China is building so many coal fired power plants is because solar is more economically viable” And “EV sales will overtake ICE vehicle sales in the next two years” (2 years ago)
  8. If the trend were statistically significant I’m sure NOAA would make the claim that hurricanes are getting stronger and more frequent, but it’s not and they haven’t.
  9. Yep, I got that one wrong, but I am still doing better than climate alarmists. Oh! One more… P: There will be no glaciers in Glacier National Park by 2020 F: Glaciers are still present
  10. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=989202619981608&set=a.557637859804755&type=3 Funny and true
  11. Not arguing, just laying out the facts. Here are some more predictions vs observations for you. P: Arctic to be ice free in summer by 2013 F: Ice still there P: Polar bears will become extinct F: Polar bears still here with stable or growing population P: Climate change will cause famine F: Global food production increasing P: “children won’t know what snow looks like” F: Our local ski area opens this Saturday P: We must keep warming below 1.5C or disaster will occur F: we blow past 1.5C, no global catastrophe P: Rising seas will drown the Maldives F: Even though sea levels have risen, many islands haven’t shrunk. Most, in fact, have been stable. Some have even grown. I could go on all day but your brain exploded before you got this far
  12. That would be an outlier and would be noteworthy if the trend continued, but it hasn’t
  13. The left wants to eliminate tax breaks for fossil fuels, the right wants to eliminate them for renewables and EVs…sounds like Musk’s plan is perfectly plausible
  14. Nope, just sharing some reality with my lefty buddies. BTW why aren’t data centers using renewables and instead using fossil fuels and making big investments in nuclear?
  15. No I was just laughing at how ridiculously wrong the predictions of CSU and M.Mann were. Bottom line, even with record heat, the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season was well within historical ranges and globally they were at the low end of historical ranges.
  16. No is crime was tax evasion and felony gun crime. Near as I can tell it was the Biden justice department in charge, not Trump.
  17. Renewables can grow all they want, it’s just not enough to cover the increase in energy demand and that is why fossils fuels will continue to grow and provide even more energy than wind and solar for the foreseeable future.
  18. Why do you say that? TMI had two reactors. One was shut down in ‘79 after an incident, the other continued to provide electricity until 2019 when the abundance of natural gas made it non competitive. Microsoft has locked in a profitable price and TMI is scheduled to provide electricity for the next 20 years.
  19. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1329502903/007-james-bond-aston-martin-goldfinger With those batteries, this is the only Aston Martin you will be powering
  20. The Three Mile Island reactor is built, functional and ready to power Microsoft’s AI center as soon as it is built. The other projects will use natural gas as a bridge source until nuclear gets up and running. Funny how wind and solar were considered unreliable and uneconomical.
  21. “Elon Musk, the billionaire electric vehicle mogul whom President-elect Donald Trump has tapped to help lead a government efficiency task force, told POLITICO’s E&E News on Thursday that he wants to eliminate tax breaks for EV buyers.” Reading comprehension not your strong suit?
  22. Looks like the big brains in Silicon Valley are eschewing renewables and going nuclear with fossil fuels as a bridge “Across the tech sector, companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Metaare all getting into nuclear tech” “until these plants are running, many AI data centers will have to operate using natural gas.” https://www.npr.org/2024/12/09/nx-s1-5171063/artificial-intelligence-wants-to-go-nuclear-will-it-work
  23. I don’t know who or what a “deal leader” is, so there’s that. Show me a link. Is that just the Atlantic basin or is that globally. Also if we are trading a bunch of weak tropical storms for a few cat3+ hurricanes, I would say that was a good deal.
  24. Named storms are a useless metric. Are we really going to get our panties in a bunch over a storm with 35 mph winds? Show me trend for cat 3 and above. It is interesting to note how the slight increase coincided with widespread aviation and then the satellite era. Just maybe the increase is due to more observational coverage than an actual increase in storms
  25. I just cited data from NOAA, don’t get all butt hurt just because your world view is being crushed by facts.
