  1. So the dire consequences may or may not materialize in the next century or two, but our drop dead date to fix the problem is two decades in the past? BTW you can't get more authoritative than a senior U.N. environmental official.
  2. Who is mocking? I'm trying to figure out how a mass shooting could happen in a place with some of the toughest gun control measures in the country. Ironic isn't it, how mass shooting seem to happen in gun free zones. I blame it on the language barrier. Obviously the shooter, being Arabic, was unable to read the "no firearms allowed on base" sign.
  3. We just ran the experiment for the last 30 years. The CAGW theory hypothesized that we would be suffering dire consequences by the turn of the century if we did not take drastic measures to cut our CO2 emissions. Global CO2 output is greater than ever and two decades after that drop dead date, none of the predictions have come to pass. Theory falsified.
  4. https://apnews.com/bd45c372caf118ec99964ea547880cd0 A little trip down memory lane, for all of you folks who like to say, "no one ever said that"
  5. Obama leveled out at five percent, Trump has it down to 3.5, defying all conventional wisdom of what constitutes full employment. Not to mention real wage growth, during the Obama administration it was close to zero. Under Trump? >3%. In short, more jobs, more money, less taxes.
  6. I can’t figure out how this could possibly happen. All POWs (privately owned weapons) on base must be registered, kept in a locked arms room and must be signed in and out. NO firearms are allowed to be brought onto the base.
  7. Trickle down STILL working. Jobs up, wages up, unemployment down and the record breaking economic expansion continues. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=12&ved=2ahUKEwjPt7SH3KHmAhXltlkKHcnZDjsQFjALegQIBBAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.businessinsider.com%2Fnovember-jobs-report-us-economy-266000-jobs-added-unemployment-rate-2019-12&usg=AOvVaw27ao_4sriXZPicxYIfsn0C
  8. Fair point, the first time I saw it was about a year ago, when it popped up on my FB feed. I tried to find it again but could not. It just showed up again yesterday so I posted
  9. http://www.drroyspencer.com/2019/12/uah-global-temperature-update-for-november-2019-0-55-deg-c/ colder than 1998.
  10. Says the guy who posted "I'm guessing your ass is clamped down in Happy Valley listening to the same shit you listen to all year long. For a bonus, guess where I'm typing this response from. And no, tôi không có phở đêm nay. " Mabey not tonight. ;-)
  11. Joe I have been to places and seen things that you can not even imagine. I don't hold that against you because you have no frame of reference other than your comical notion of the military. FYI my military interaction with other countries was with their terrain, my interactions with the civilian population was primarily civilian on civilian. When I got to my first duty station, my team members forced me to take Italian language courses and spend my first several paycheck on Italian clothes. We respected and adapted to the local language, customs, dress, and cuisine. Same goes with everywhere else I have been. My wife won an executive committee reward trip to the Bahamas, we stayed at the Atlantis resort, it was the closest thing to hell I could have imagined. I like to, keep my mouth shut, listen, and immerse myself in the local culture. BTW say hi to all of the slave labor you are taking advantage of. . . . . . . . . . .See how it feel when someone who has no idea of who you are or what you do opines on something they know nothing about?
  12. Trump is an idiot. Full stop. I have said it several times. I have even equated his intellect to that of an earthworm. I posted that Trump is a dumb man's idea of a smart man, a weak man's idea of a strong man and a poor man's idea of a rich man. Given your notion of me, with regard to my world view, it is not surprising that you would pigeonhole me as a Trump supporter. Your bad, not mine. You need to get out more. BTW what does "how does it sit with you that some enableC did it for him? Are you frightened that our President so thinks and is so advised" even mean?

  14. Since my policy prescription is the one being followed it is a moot point. BTW I'm still waiting to find out how it is Trump's fault that China and Russia decided to build a massive fossil fuel pipeline during the Obama administration.
  15. The three scenarios were 1. Business as usual, a continued increase in CO2 levels 2. CO2 emissions growth slows and levels off 3. CO2 emissions rapidly decline The current levels of CO2 output put us solidly in scenario 1, yet the observed level of warming is between scenarios 2 and 3. Model falsified.
  16. That is what I'm talking about. it is also why I said you need to go to the supporting documentation.
  17. Wikipedia was my first source but here it is from the EPA website https://www.epa.gov/history/origins-epa

  19. I was using Celsius, you know, the metric system....the measurement system scientists use.

  21. I have sourced every claim and posted earlier on this thread. Do you own google if you don't believe me.
  22. Floods- No change Droughts- No change Hurricanes- No change Tornados- Fewer not more Polar Bears- More not fewer Maldives and Caribbean- Populations growing not shrinking Food production- More not less Ice free arctic by 2013 (predicted by climate scientist and parroted by Gore)- Still here Desertification- Deserts shrinking not growing These predictions for not for some time hundreds of years in the future these were predictions of catastrophe that were going to effect us and certainly our children. (Just ask Greta)
  23. You mean 16 years ago. The prediction was for record droughts, floods, hurricanes, tornados, desertification, mass migration out of the Caribbean and Maldives, diseases, crop failures, ice free arctic, dead polar bears on and on and on. None of it happened. In many cases just the opposite of what was predicted actually happened.
  24. That is kind of my point. The planet is a fraction of a degree warmer and the only thing to happen is shrinking deserts, record food production, rising global life expectancy, rising global GDP, shrinking poverty, and record low death rates from natural disasters. We just shattered hundreds of record cold levels and our local ski area just had its earliest open EVER. What I can observe with my own eyes does not match up with the "existential threat of catastrophic global warming" narrative. It makes me question just how much "data homogenization" is going on at NOAA. BTW temps have been warming, glaciers have been melting and the seas have been rising for more that 10,000 years.
