They lay it on thick and they try to weave it throughout their coverage of unrelated topics. "income inequality is bad but it is likely to get much worse because of climate change" It is only getting more shrill as the predicted calamity fails to materialize. Oxford Dictionaries just named "Climate Emergency" as its word of the year, and Dictionary.com did the same for "existential" Even a brutally cold start to the winter season can't snap some folks out of this delusion.

Tax the rich, feed the poor, 'til there are no rich no more

Look at who is woke. -
Wrong, "The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is an independent agency of the United States federal government for environmental protection.[3] President Richard Nixon proposed the establishment of EPA on July 9, 1970[4] and it began operation on December 2, 1970, after Nixon signed an executive order." Congress just ratified what was already in effect. (see the SNL version of "I'm Just a Bill" for more further education)

There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998

Richard Nixon was a progressive liberal? EPA 1970 Endangered Species Act 1973

The pipeline was built during the Obama administration and it was his anti-fossil fuel policies that put money into Russia's pocket. We could have built a NG liquification and export terminal on the west coast and made billions selling natural gas to China but instead the money goes to Russia. -

That pipeline was built during the Obama administration, so it supports Trump's assessment of China's motives and blows a hole in the "China is a bad actor because Trump pulled out of the Paris Agreement" narrative. -
A talking head on MSNBC, just blamed the failure of Harris's campaign for the DEMOCRATIC nomination for president on racism and misogyny. LMAO.
-
Yes you did, I’m surprised no one else did especially once you pointed it out.

I provided a service and was compensated for it, sounds like capitalism to me.

43% of Americans think socialism is better than capitalism. Some of them even post on Speakers Corner

So is California. Lefties have no sense of humor :-(

Not denigrating my friend, just pointing out the obvious. East Asia is where the world goes for cheap labor. Japan being the notable exception. BTW the Baltic states were integrated into NATO in the early 2000's not 1980. In the 80's I was keeping the word safe for democracy by deterring Soviet aggression by my mere presence in northern Italy

I was just reflecting the attitude I was being given. You make a good point though. The prosperity brought forth by capitalism creates a strong attraction for immigrants, the mass influx of folks who don't look and sound like the native population and hold beliefs that are anathema to the local culture create a backlash that we are witnessing in Europe and here in the U.S..

No, as I pointed out with regard to Vietnam, that is a place one goes to buy cheap sneakers.
-
You need to break out of this loud mouthed, knuckle dragging, militaristic Neanderthal notion you obviously have of me. (And the military FWIW). You have obviously been damaged beyond repair by the Vietnam war and have some John Wayne idea of how the military works. Humility and grace carry the day not some cartoon notion of bravado and machismo that you are apparently burdened with.

Sweden is a capitalist country!!!! Oh double snap!!! https://www.aier.org/article/capitalism-saved-sweden/ BTW just what is the "most state" county in the world? Meanwhile in the socialist paradise of Venezuela..... https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/venezuela-economy-facts-2019-5-1028225117#inflation-in-venezuela-may-hit-10-million-percent-this-year1

You are my Willy Santiago, and I will fight to protect you and your point of view, no matter how misguided.

What economic system has been more effective at reducing poverty than capitalism?...... crickets crickets crickets

Dude you have no clue. Half of my visits have been through the military and half have not. I have a degree in international political science. I helped the Baltic states integrate into NATO by working with their special forces. Apparently your knowledge of military liaison missions are limited to what you watch in movies. I know that my experience pales in comparison to your pho slurping Vietnam trip, but I have to work with what I have. BTW when I was doing my thing in the eighties and early nineties, the cold/post Cold War Europe was where it was at. If you wanted to influence global geopolitics you were in Eastern Europe, If you wanted to get someone to make cheap sneakers, you would go to Vietnam

LOL, I am about as poorly travelled and parochial as Bono. BTW just what does "under military control" mean? my undergrad degree is Foreign Service, now known as international political science. I have been to more than a dozen countries and have lived overseas for more than a half a decade. Are you wondering about a cab ride conversion I had in East Berlin about the prospect of German reunification, or about the conversation I had with two Frenchmen on a ski lift in Chamonix on the eve of the impending war in Iraq?

No, Bill is just disappointed that China has fallen of the green new deal bandwagon. Cut him some slack.
