So if we just banned AR-15s this never would have happened? I'm confused (understandable as I am easy confused) but just what would have prevented this tragedy? A ban on ARs, AKs, high capacity magazines, semi-autos, or a complete firearms ban and confiscation of all guns? Mabey one rule for those who travel abroad, go on cruises, interact with a lot of people who interact with a lot of other people, etc. etc. IOW, a test for those at risk. It wasn't a troll, it is a response to the National Geographic article claiming that polar bears were in peril from climate change. From my link; "As Michele Moses recently explained in The New Yorker, scientists accused National Geographic of “being loose with the facts.” There was no evidence, many pointed out, that the bear’s condition was the result of climate change. The bear simply could have been old, ill, or suffering from a degenerative disease. Of course I would have. It is very simple really, one has a theory, one makes projections/predictions based on that theory and then it is compared to observation. If it doesn't agree with observation, it is WRONG. (to paraphrase RF) AGW theory predicted: more and stronger hurricanes, more tornadoes, growing deserts, less food, and fewer polar bears. What we got was: no change in hurricanes, FEWER tornadoes, SHRINKING deserts, MORE food and MORE polar bears. Instead of going back to the drawing board and learning from their mistakes, instead they change their predictions AFTER a particular event occured (polar vortex, and slower hurricanes to give a few examples) -
