  1. In the second example, she was speaking to the international press at the Munich Security Conference in Germany. “I mean, listen guys, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall totally fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills, even the big hills, we shall never surrender because basically that would be wrong” Harris channeling her inner Churchill
  2. So, Ukraine is a country in Europe," Harris explains while speaking slowly. “It exists next to another country called Russia,” she continued. “Russia is a bigger country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So, basically, that’s wrong” “I mean, listen, guys, we’re talking about the potential for war in Europe,” Harris said at one point Sunday in response to a question about how the Biden administration saw the situation’s “endgame” playing out. “I mean, let’s really take a moment to understand the significance of what we’re talking about,” the veep went on. “It’s been over 70 years. And through those 70 years … there has been peace and security. We are talking about the real possibility of war in Europe.” I’ll just let that marinate
  3. It may just come down to what the press decides to cover, which comes down to what coverage generates ratings.
  4. There has to be a balance, OPEC knows this.
  5. Zhukov had tens of millions of soldiers, not tens of thousands. The Russians are undermanned. Once again their reach has exceeded their grasp.
  6. Oil is a global commodity subject to the rules of supply and demand. If the XL facilitated increased supply, it would have reduced pricing pressure without regard to where it was destined
  7. Conducting military operations in urban terrain (MOUT) is difficult for even the best trained military. From what I have seen of the Russians, they are utterly incapable of the level of coordination required to be successful in that environment. I think they know this as well and that is why they withdraw after contact and resort to massive artillery barrages to advance but as Olof has pointed out they don’t make many friends that way.
  8. Russia doesn’t have the resources to occupy Ukraine. I think it is just as likely that Ukraine will bleed Russia dry, the government will collapse and we get Russia 3.0. Czarist Russia collapsed after WWI. The end of the Soviet Union was helped along by the failure in Afghanistan. Given the economic devastation and failure to achieve a quick military victory, Putin’s Russia may meet the same fate.
  9. We actually are “energy independent” right now, in spite of the Biden administration. We are a net exporter of coal and natural gas, which outweighs our petroleum imports. Reopening federal lands (including ANWR) and ceasing Biden’s anti-oil policies would help close that gap as well.
  10. It’s one thing to be mocked by me, but it must really sting when SNL does it.
  11. In 2018 we killed 100+ Russians and Putin did nothing
  12. It’s what I call a “Harry Reid”. I make the claim on social media, then quote social media as my source. That said, is there really a substantial difference between the VP and the beauty queen? After all they both leveraged their looks more than they did their intellect. That said, neither one is that impressive.
  13. https://www.iea.org/news/global-co2-emissions-rebounded-to-their-highest-level-in-history-in-2021 Can anyone tell me why we are still indulging the fantasy of net zero?
  14. I agree with you that not only is it a failure to increase domestic supply, it is a failure on the geopolitical front as well. As usual the poor and working class are disproportionately impacted. If Europe and Great Britain had developed their domestic supply of coal and oil and gas via fracking we would not be in this mess.
  15. I heard a version of this when Chechnya was going on, here is my updated version Apparently Ukraine has suffered an outbreak of drug-addled Nazis and has called out to the international community for help. The relief coordinator asked what aid was going to be provided and how it would be packaged. The US said, we will donate 100 tons of wheat and it will be in 50lb sacks. The EU responded, we will provide 20 tonnes of cooking oil and that will be in 1 liter tins. The Russians said we will be sending in 400,000 eggs*… the coordinator asked how will those be packaged? The Russians replied…”In fatigues” *figure it out
  16. What is your opinion of our Valley Girl VP?
  17. When people ask me why anyone would need an AR-15 with a thirty round magazine, I tell them to turn on the news.
  18. That balances out the losses you guys were gloating about two years ago. But don’t worry, they will take those profits, roll them back into the business and develop more capacity and attract additional capital. Hopefully they will be able to sustain prices right around $70 bbl. Reasonable price at the pump and profitable enough to attract investment for long term success.
  19. She actually said this, “So, Ukraine is a country in Europe," Harris explains while speaking slowly. “It exists next to another country called Russia,” she continued. “Russia is a bigger country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So, basically, that’s wrong” It has been reported on social media that she went on to say “I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and, uh, I believe that our education, like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as and I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., er should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so that we ill be able to build up our future for our children.”
  20. https://babylonbee.com/news/biden-sells-alaska-back-to-russia-so-we-can-start-drilling-for-oil-there-again “Folks, nobody wants to ruin America’s beautiful Alaskan wilderness with oil trucks and drilling rigs, come on!” said President Biden in response to questions he thought were coming from a house plant in the West Wing. “But I’ve never had a problem getting oil from Russia, so there you go, go get him.”
  21. Once again Biden leads from behind. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/us-ban-russian-oil-imports-rcna19119
  22. Given the reduction of Russian oil from the US market, increased domestic production won’t lower prices, it will just help reduce upward pressure. Do we really want to beg Iran, Venezuela and Saudi Arabia to produce what we could do here at home?
  23. It is the hoarding of permits by the administration which is limiting our domestic production. All the leases in the world are no good unless they can be developed. https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/energy-industry-psaki-oil-and-gas-leases-ceraweek
  24. AKA capitalism. It’s all part of the boom/bust cycle that has been going on in the oil batch for more than a century.
