On a centennial scale temperatures are within the range of normal variability. We are warmer now than during the “little ice age” when this warming trend started which is long before any anthropogenic forcing. We are cooler now than during the Roman and medieval warm period and much cooler than during the Holocene climate optimum.

I didn’t compare her, I contrasted her.

Yep, February 1998 1.55 above 20th century average February 2022 1.46 above 20th century average Last month was colder than it was nearly a quarter of a century ago. (According to NOAA) https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/global/199813

The recent trend is a cooling climate. (According to NOAA)

Strawman much?

I’m not the VPOTUS

We are well over a half a decade from “record” territory, but let’s set that aside for a moment. Tell me if anyone can detect the trend in the last three months of NOAA data. December 2021, fifth warmest December January 2022, sixth warmest January February 2022 seventh warmest February (north American was BELOW average!) https://goldrushcam.com/sierrasuntimes/index.php/news/local-news/37298-noaa-reports-february-2022-was-earth-s-7th-warmest-on-record-antarctic-sea-ice-coverage-shrank-to-a-record-low All of this while CO2 levels continue to set records month after month. Oh and before you get all breathless over Antarctic sea ice, be mindful of the fact that it is more a function of wind and ocean currents than temperatures and it comes on the heals of record Antarctic cold.

I’m pretty sure the LGTBQRSTUVWXYZ community will survive if we don’t teach kindergartners about anal sex.

Looks like you are majoring in the minors. The person who is a heartbeat away from the presidency is unprepared, ineffectual and unserious and you think a bunch of wackos exercising free speech is your most pressing concern.
-
What are you talking about, I started the Trump is an idiot thread. When I look at Harris, I see someone who is ill prepared, ineffectual and not serious. I don’t judge her on her ethnicity or gender. Condoleezza Rice was a female person of color and I never heard her start a sentence with “I mean, listen guys” or cackle when asked a question. Just because you guys are all wrapped up in identity politics doesn’t mean everyone else is.

What achievements?

“A USA Today-Suffolk University poll placed Vice President Kamala Harris’ approval ratings at 28%, 10 points below that of President Joe Biden. The U.K. Telegraph tweeted: “With Kamala Harris looking unelectable, the Democrats are considering the nuclear option. Whispers in Washington suggest Joe Biden’s camp has a plan to find a more popular replacement ahead of the 2024 battle.” When Harris ran for president, she dropped out before the Iowa caucus, the first contest in the primary. She garnered little support from her home state, California. Harris got called out for hypocrisy during a debate by rival Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, for — among other things — prosecuting marijuana crimes only to make light in an interview about smoking marijuana.” Yet you support her? https://www.dailynews.com/2021/12/02/like-it-or-not-the-democrats-are-stuck-with-kamala-harris/

Kamala is to other professional women of color what Frank Drebin was to Enrico Palazzo

She might as well said “covfefe”

It has nothing to do with her gender or education, it is her inability to speak in a serious manner. When someone is a heartbeat away from the most powerful position in the world, especially in a time of global crisis, we should expect more than someone who starts sentences with “I mean, listen guys” when addressing the international press. It’s more than just style it is substance as well. She actually said this, “The United States stands firmly with the people of Ukraine in defense of the NATO alliance” Apparently she is unaware that Ukraine is not a member of NATO How about this gem? “I am here. Standing. Here. on the northern flank, on the eastern flank, talking about what we have in terms of the eastern flank and our NATO allies, and what is at stake at this very moment.” https://www.bostonherald.com/2022/03/12/battenfeld-kamala-harris-fumbles-and-bumbles-her-way-through-ukraine-crisis/ “Harris is making Sarah Palin look prepared.”

Awesome picture, where was that?
-
In the second example, she was speaking to the international press at the Munich Security Conference in Germany.

A Russian foreign legion if you will.
-
Just the opposite actually. A ten megaton device used over the fulda gap to stop thousands of tanks and APCs would be considered tactical. A ten kiloton weapon detonated over the Kremlin would be strategic.

Not this year (according to Musk) and at a price point north of $100k I don’t expect there to be a huge market for them. I have to admit the idea of eclectic motors is fascinating
-
A price of around $70bbl, is reasonable for the long term. It gives a sufficient ROI for continued domestic production and is what Saudi Arabia needs to maintain its social contract with its citizens. 4X4 pickups are still outselling EVs, by multiples, even with gas approaching $5 a gallon.

If it gets loud enough the Democrat slogan for 2022 will be “Drill Baby Drill!”
-
Cute, but my BS detector was buzzing while I was reading it. Nobody would try to push a 40 ton out of a ditch with three guys
-
Not all of them got slaughtered, the remaining ones got smarter and are now feasting in the trough with current prices nearly three times the break even point.

Life will go on until an emboldened Russia moves into the Baltic states, after all are we willing to risk WW3 to save Estonia? And what about the playbook Putin is writing for China? Both of these countries have imperial ambitions. If only there was a historical parallel we could study to help guide our choices. =
