I read performance issue, not manufacturer issue. basebasebase01 wrote V1, Ed just went with it. He could have just as well wrote S3. It's the same with canopies, see verticalflyer's post. It's not a "make" of canopy that's killing them, it's the "type". I like my GTi's, and BirdMan generally, so I ordered an S3. I am also going on a BASE adventure in a couple months, Robert is manifested on the load, so I ordered a V1 as well. (No, my GTi's are not for sale). I flew the suit Chuck at Da Kine Rags made a couple years ago, it was ok. I've also flown the Crossbow, which was IMHO not very user friendly. I'd like to try the Matter, if I like it, I'll buy it. Who is the "best" BASE jumper? I've known some of the "best" BASE jumpers, they're dead now, so were they really the "best"? If you're the "best", I guess you get out injury free? Okay, so we scratch off myself and a host of others. If you're the "best", I guess you get out bust free? Okay, so we scratch off myself and a host of others. Is there anybody left? I don't think we can really know who the "best" is. The "best" BASE jumpers die of old age. Are we there yet? Hello, It is tough when some of your friends don't like some of your friends. The BASE community is still fairly small, so it's hard to avoid. I do consider MD a friend, but his "way" just plain sucks. Now some will come to his defense, some will not. Other mutual friends will comment…….
