Yep-LOL- cessnas are fun for pop-n-packs, I did all of my AFF in 96 out of a 182 till level 5. Riding to 8-5 is chore in em now-LOL (spoiled) Highest I've ever been in a cessna is like 11-5, which is a long ride. But the "ghost" which is a completely restored 182 we have climbs nicer than the older 1. As far as the person packing it- the new FARS really didnt change much but it seems everyone is cool with the "under direct supervision" - and everyone interprets that different. At my Dz you pretty much have to have permission or be let pack them by either the dzo or a rigger. You learn different chutes as you go most of the time. If I'm not sure how to pack someones rig I'll ask how they want it done, and go from there.
