Just got sent this picture of me doing fire poi a few months back. Can't remember too much about it because I think I was absolutely bladdered when we were doing it. I remember have a fight with the lit poi though, it was a close one but I think I won because he ended up with slight degradation to his mohawk. Anyone else do poi or fire poi? That's the weird thing, normally something that's happened or something you've seen or heard triggers off a dream you have but this hippo one was totally random. I've never even seen a hippo, yet. I've had a few dreams where i've gone to pull and nothing is there and i've hit the runway. Got up and walked away from every one uninjured. Very strange. Had a crazy dream a few months ago. I had a hippo, proper fully grown beast of a hippo, and was keeping it in my parents garage. I was hiding it from them because I knew they wouldn't let me keep it there. Everything was going good for a while until the hippo started getting agro and wrecking things. I decided the best thing to do was to try and sell it to a guy who kept hippos in a field next to my old school. (this all made perfect sense in the dream) So, I walked the hippo all the way to this guys field and he said he would buy my hippo if it got on with all his other hippos. I let my hippo run loose in the field with all the others and they started to attack him. So the guy said he wouldn't buy him and I was stuck with my hippo. hehe people have a problem with inexperience jumpers downsizing their canopies too soon (and rightly so).....but what about these inexperienced jumpers getting abit porky? Maybe there ought to be a ban on people with less than 300 jumps from being served with bacon buns? Wait, that's possibly the stupidest idea i've ever come up with, i'm still under 100 jumps! IMHO if your spouse/partner refuses to accept your skydiving, even after they have been educated about the sport and the all the ins and outs of it then they are with the wrong person. If the person who you are with wants you to change then they should find someone who fits in with their 'criteria'. We've all been in realtionships where the other person has tried to change us in one way or another but if you do not love everything about the person you are with, face it, you are with the wrong person. I'd sooner be single than be with someone who'd try and stop me from doing something I love. It's the fear of being single and not finding 'the one' that forces people to be in realtionships that they are not truley happy with. Some might see this as a sometwhat selfish attitude to take, yeah, so what, at the end of the day i'd rather hang in there and find my 'soulmate' than spend the rest of my life not totally happy. I still haven't had a reserve ride yet but my repack was due so i pulled out my reserve only to find out it's bright yellow and not white like i've always thought.
