Byron Boogie countdown and rollcall.. woohoo!
VanillaSkyGirl replied to chopchop's topic in The Bonfire
Of course I remember meeting you, Roy! It was a special moment. The clouds parted and a ray of sunshine beamed down on us as I looked into your face and said, "It's nice to meet you..." I know Ronnie and Haley from their close friendship with Tad. I used to see Ronnie at a climbing gym that I used to go to. It is a longer-term kind of friendship that I have with them as it began through things other than skydiving. Roy, I know you through your posts and the one time that we were introduced, however, it is special. I met you on the first day that I jumped after getting my "A" license. I had only 20 jumps when I met you. -

That's too bad, Ronnie. You and Haley are the only two people that I would have known if you could make it to the Byron Boogie. Have fun if you are able to jump with Ricky Ricardo at Eloy and good luck with your interview! I will see you and Haley, of course, at Chick's Rock. -

Ok, I will go straight to Byron then. I have a close friend that I am visiting and staying with on Friday. She just told me that her and her husband have been talking about skydiving for a couple of years now. They both want to try it. I am floored!!! I was not expecting this. My friends probably cannot try their first jump now as they are financially strapped (They just bought a condo). I could tell that she was trying to find a way to do it, though!!! I actually talked her into waiting to jump when she can really afford it, instead of now. I was thinking that if she gets into it, she may be a goner... I am SOOOO happy that they are so into it! -

Pammi, you have such an amazing body! Seriously, that is one sexy avatar. It's funny, but your tanned parts are completely the opposite of mine. My legs are ghostly pale white and my hands/neck/shoulders/arms are super tanned from being out in the sun all day. Anyway, as usual, I digress, but I really like you avatar pic.

We'll miss your happy face at the DZ. Have whuffo fun this weekend! ~

Skybytch has some really good advice. Wow. I am surprised that your parents are so against it. I'm confused. For some reason, I thought that you had told me that your father/parents/relatives owned a DZ. I must have been mistaken. Obviously, I have seen you around the DZ and on the plane, Melanie. When you are skydiving, you are so completely in your element. It would be nice if your parents were to see you that way. Maybe you could have your parents go to the DZ for only an hour or two to catch the last couple of loads on a Saturday evening after spending the day doing a whuffo activity. That way, they would get to see everyone winding down. If they refuse to go, then do not force the issue. Your passion for skydiving is obvious, and I am sure that they know this. If your parents do agree to go to the DZ, let me know what day that they will be there. I would love to meet them. I was a whuffo, myself, not too long ago, so I understand their fear of the unknown. Also, it would be nice to let them know how inspiring that you are to new women like myself. Your parents should be so proud of you, Melanie.

Iraq Sucks and Cypress discussions are making my head hurt Lets Dance
VanillaSkyGirl replied to Amazon's topic in The Bonfire
Oh, I DO read those political posts. I just do not post my political views on the forums. People get as passionate with politics as they do with religion or abortion. It often gets quite ugly. I am not able to see the "Dancer" for some reason with my MAC. Oh well. Thank you for your post, Amazon. -
Ooooops...he doesn't know that you wanted more, but he would probably have done/given more if he knew how you felt. I would sooo be WAH about it, but I am quite particular about my birthday. My birthday is the one day that I feel the NEED to be kissed, hugged, loved and spoiled to death (with gifts, flowers, cards, favorite foods, etc.)! My birthdays do not always work out this way, but I LOVE when someone TRIES to make me feel completely fussed over. It is the thought that counts after all. Of course, who knows what has happened between your last post and now...

WTF is going on? Pleae go to your neutral corners, men, before I take off my high heel and beat you both down.

OMG, you're drunk, again, Alana! I almost never drink, but last night ...LOL! I should have posted or called someone. Actually, I do not have that DD list and since I almost never drink... Anyway, it's just one more thing to commit to that I am not sure that I can keep up with. Post whoring is time consuming enough! I WOULD post pics, but I have no new ones, Alana. I PROMISE to try to get some soon, though...just for you!!!

BLAH!!! Don't be gross. My mom's breasts are completely real and on the smallish side. My grandmother's are huge and also real. I was just saying that my mother is quite lucky to not have to worry about sagging. She still has not sagged. I hope that this is a genetic thing that will get passed down to me. If not, who cares, anyway. I will be old. I agree about how strange old ladies with fake breasts will look some day. Btw, how many "lunch ladies" do YOU know that have fake breasts? What were you thinking when you wrote that sentence? Pegasus, I still say get the rig!!!

I am so very, very sorry for your loss. I send my heartfelt condolences to all of Tommy's friends and family. BSBD~ Hugs, ROSA

I'm so sorry, Lori. I hope that it all works out, and your father is able to overcome this. I am saying a prayer for you and him right now. Please let us know if there is anything that you need. I am just a PM away, OK? Please try to hang in there. Sincerely, ROSA

Jan, I don't know what you look like, and I don't care. I love your personality from what I have seen in your posts.

ROFLMAO!!! You tell 'em, Sharkie! Oh well, I guess that us belly fliers can ONLY hang out with each other. We wouldn't want to contaminate others with our "cooties"! Then, maybe those silly freefliers will finally leave us alone...NOT!!!

You are so cute, Okalb, but I don't want to "beat", Angela. That's my girl! I have never met her, but I admire her very, very much, and I have ever since THIS thread! Healthy competition is fun, though. I may fly out there someday, and if I do you can bet that I will track you down. We can do that 17 point 4-way WITH Angela!!! How does that sound? -

VanillaSkyGirl replied to jmpnkramer's topic in The Bonfire
Nope, sorry, but no one influenced what discipline I was to pursue or even the fact that I made the decision to skydive. If that was the case, I would have done a tandem for my first jump, instead of the AFF1 that I chose to do. Reread my first post. I THOUGHT that I would like FF, which were the people that I originally gravitated towards when beginning to go through AFF, but I realized that I loved RW instead. That was my whole point...freedom of discipline. -

Wow...that sounds too good to be true! I'll take your word for it, though, and congratulate Angela!
