That sounds amazing! Thank you for the informative post, Billvon. It sounds like both Fury and the NC tunnel presented you and your crew with a fantastic time. I would love to opportunity to attend a camp in this tunnel. Prior to it being open to the public, I was invited to fly 4-way by a friend in the NC tunnel for an incredibly low price. Sadly, I was in graduate school with presentations and papers due, but there will be other opportunities. Thank you again for all of the great info!

Seriously, what else could make this week any worse?
VanillaSkyGirl replied to Conundrum's topic in The Bonfire
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, Chelle. My condolences to you over your grandmother's passing, and I wish a speedy recovery for Aiden. I hope that you know that you have many good thoughts and positive feelings being sent to you now and for as long as you need them. Much love and many hugs to you, Chelle. -
This can't be real! Turning into a tree?

Conflicted? I'm sure that he would prefer to be employed in another line of work and live a normal life without the out-of-control warts taking over his whole being. I have seen video of him stating that he wants to live a productive life, and of course, he excited to be able to actually move his hands and feet, again. The whole thing is so sad, but it so wonderful that he is finally getting the help that he needs. -
What the heck...is your post directed to me? I have written nothing about dating rules and minimum dates. Are you high or just bored, my dear Mister Bolas?

My opinion is that it's not always wise to jump into bed with someone on a first date prior to getting to know the person. That said, everyone and every situation should be judged on a case-by-case basis. It's often best to go with the flow of how things are presenting themselves, and what one's expectations and/or needs are for oneself and for the other person. How quickly someone has sex with another differs for each person based on how the two people feel about one another, what their needs are, their personal or moral views of what is right or wrong, their raw attraction, how they feel about themselves and one another at the given time, etc. That said, we are all adults, and whatever someone chooses to do or not do, shouldn't be judged, especially not on DZ.com. Orchid, thanks for stating your perspective, opinion and thoughts. This discussion will always have varied opinions, and I think that it's great that you are open to hearing them.

Woohoo, Amazon and Super-Barbie are coming! Friends~ Is there anyone who would be able to give me a ride from the Seattle airport to the Casino hotel on Friday at around 3 or 4 pm? I hurt my back two days ago and am in lots of pain, so I may not be driving out there, anymore. I might get a one-way plane ticket from LAX to Seattle(arrive either 3:05 or 4:05, depending). Then, I'm thinking of either renting a car or getting a ride or flight back down to San Francisco on Monday, before going back home to SoCal. Thank you...for any help offered!
-
I love the ride to altitude. I find it peaceful and use it as a time to focus and visualize. I don't notice or mind a little bit of platonic limb or torso contact with my neighbor. I've never felt like anyone was hurting me or making me uncomfortable. However, if I'm not comfortable, I adjust my body position in my seat, until I am comfortable. The people sitting around us are most often those whom we are jumping with, so shouldn't it be easy enough to communicate to one another, if there are issues with comfort?

It's been between five and six weeks, since I've jumped, due to graduate school and work. Prior to that, it was 8 months, since I had jumped due to the same reasons. However, I've learned to freefly in the tunnel during this "off" time, since I work at iFly. I interact with skydivers every day at work. I finish my graduate school classes on Monday the 4th. Then, I'm packing my car on Thursday the 7th and heading to Washington to jump at the Leap for Lupus event. I am sooo looking forward to working on my flying skills and to having a day off, so I can jump!

Woohoo...double birthday wishes! Happy birthday, Andi!

Hello there, Ms. SwedishNun...you are missed!

Trust me, it was huge and buzzing around in there. (My top is not tight.) Almost scared the beegesus out of me!
-
A huge bee somehow flew down the front of my tank top at the tunnel the other day, as I was walking some people into the gear room. Suddenly, it became agitated and was buzzing loudly & angrily flying in my chest area because it couldn't get out. It was very agitated, and I'm allergic to bees! I pulled away the top part of my tank with both hands without exposing myself and shook my top, so it could fly out. Then, I quickly threw one hand to the bottom of my top to pull it off. My friend and co-worker Matt suddenly yelled out that it flew out. Phew! That was close! Edited to add Wth are "vibes", anyway? Hope your foot is better, my friend!

We make a good combo! I'm not an angel. I have a bit of naughty inside of me. Who doesn't? Just like you have quite a bit of angel inside of you.

I've had very similar experiences to yours, Keely. Although I've met some posters in person first, the posters whom I've met online first were as I had expected them to be, when I met them in person. Any surprises or subtle differences were usually interesting and didn't turn me off to them as people. Personally, I don't think that most people set out to be a specific "online persona". People often just favor one communication style over another, allowing some to express themselves more easily through written word, than others. The posts that we witness on here do not fully capture the full spectrum of someone's personality. It's just another piece of the puzzle of who that person is, or how he/she might be feeling at one given moment.

The Boneanza Boogie is August 1-3rd at SD Elsinore. I WILL be selling my famous jello shots at the "Anything, but Clothes" party on Aug. 2nd in the evening. If I can make it to the DZ in the day (my final papers/presentations weekend-graduate school), I will be selling cookies for the fundraiser, as well. All of the funds will be placed directly into the fundraiser for '08 L.A. AIDS Walk. Please come to the DZ to skydive & party with the family! Also, our AIDS Walk team is now 8 people strong. Please do not forget to sign up, if you are interested in being a part of the team. You may donate to our team page by clicking on my sig line and going to the Team Page. We appreciate all of the love and support. Thank you!
