Welcome back! Thank you for everything that you've done for us all. You have my utmost respect and gratitude.

We love both you and Cara, Mike! Congratulations, my friend!

I agree, but I thought that was the whole point of the movie. It's not a "feel-good" type of movie, nor was it made to represent the wine scene or even men in a particularly good light. It focused more on the characters' reality, as opposed to what could be or what used to be their reality. It was gritty, clever and showed the characters in an not so pretty light. Just because the someone is an author/wine connoisseur or ex-child actor doesn't mean that they are perfect or that their lives are better than others. Actually, we saw quite the opposite. It was really a story about a man coming to terms with himself and his reality. The characters actually depressed me and disgusted me in many ways, but thankfully, the main character decided to finally really begin living the life that he wants at the very end of the film. That was pretty cool, imo. Don't worry about it, girl. I didn't make the movie myself! Not at all...it's not that simple. Seriously, I did think that it was a very well-done film with top-notch acting, but it's ok if you disagree. It's not like we are a movie critics or something. It's just my purely subjective view of the film, but I usually like movies not very commercial. No worries!

Yeah, I've seen it. I'm not sure how to take your recommendation that I see it though! Blues, Dave Um, maybe 'cause you were talking about red wine? Just a wild-ass guess... Exactly, Rebecca! Dave, I would have thought that there was funny "wine connoisseur" humor in there, so I don't know why that deserved a pirate emoticon. Imho, it was also a well-made film about people, wine, life changes and relationships. Well, I liked it, anyway.

Dave, have you seen the movie "Sideways"? You should definitely see it.

Thank you for posting that. What a great picture!

You have only one thong?

Serious Prayers Needed for One Of Our Own!
VanillaSkyGirl replied to jumperconway's topic in The Bonfire
This is so sad, although I do not know this person personally. My prayers and well wishes are for him, his family and his loved ones. May he have the best possible recovery. -

Wow, it's HUGE! [Mr. Burns] Excellent! [/Mr. Burns] -
You guys are not dorks. I just saw the segment about 3 times. It was very cool to watch! Hopefully, swooping will get more publicity and will have a place in the Olympics. It was cool to see the interview bits with Johnny Tagle, and all the swooping footage, as always, was exciting and fun to watch. Congrats to everyone in that segment! P.S. Baseball is very boring.

Outdoor Wind Tunnel at Elsinore...?
VanillaSkyGirl replied to TerminalImagery's topic in Wind Tunnels
Wow, they will be so proud. Honestly, the Elsinore forums are a freaking RIOT! If you know the group, it makes the forums even more hilarious to read. I think there is something really absurd about several people from serious 4-way teams (and even a DZO/former Airspeed) rushing to be in the backgrounds of random pictures taken on the DZ, especially when they are usually in full gear and on the way to the plane. I have no idea how they do it, but I love seeing those damned Waldos show up in the DZ pics every week! -
How cute! Thanks for posting that, Tiffany. I still have to see the video, but thank you for the picture.

I was planning on driving out to Perris this coming weekend to fly in the tunnel and to say "hello" to Dave and the rest of the Aussies. Should I stay home, instead? Also, can you show us pictures, so we know what your little group looks like. (I'd like to know who to avoid.) Thanks in advance.

That's wonderful news, Grue! Congratulations to you and to your father for sharing in the love of the sky.

Skylord and the Hop 'n Pop Deal with Each Other
VanillaSkyGirl replied to skylord's topic in Safety and Training
I agree. It can have such a HUGE effect on a new (or even experienced) skydiver to have someone offering advice and support. That's Elsinore for you. That's why I love that place so much. I've been thinking all day about how much I miss skydiving and the Elsinore family. Btw, I'm so glad that you had such a great day, Bob. Thanks for sharing your story with us. -
WTF is up with fat chicks wearing half shirts ?
VanillaSkyGirl replied to cocheese's topic in The Bonfire
Hey Darcy! -
Most of my life, my best/closest friends have been male. However, when I am in love with a man, he is usually my best friend. Thankfully, I have also recently had several close female friends in my life. Still, there is nothing quite like having a charming gentleman friend or two in a young lady's life. I love many men in my life (brothers, father, friends), but I am in love with only one man.

We'll come and get you. OK! I'll be waiting! To Gia ~ Bwahahaa...I know. He's such a fucking freak, but I still love that froggie friend! Very cool...I look forward to seeing all our pics from then and from Lost Prairie, too! You can just e-mail me the b-day pics, and I'll convert them to jpegs, then throw them up on my photo share pages.

Hey Shannon, I've always wanted to astral project, ever since I first heard of it, when I was about 15 years old. Please show Gia, so Gia can show me how.
-
YAY! That's right, Gia babe!

Gia's NEVER kissed me, nor dreamt of kissing me. Where's the love? (Relax, I'm just teasing you, girl!)

I'd love to go to the beach on Sunday with you. I'd like to work on my tan before my BF returns from overseas. Which beach did you want to visit?
