ok now we ALL should not jump this weekend
VanillaSkyGirl replied to josheezammit's topic in The Bonfire
This is for people who do not have a lot of money, but who might have some gear or any other higher-priced items that could be sold to help others. There is another, creative way to help the hurricane victims. You can sell your items through EBAY and can make a partial or full 10-100% donation of the final sale of your goods to a non-profit to help the victims. I just did this myself with some of my gear. There are so many organizations listed, including those that will help pets/animals. -
That's so hilarious!!!

That's so wonderful, Katee. Bless you for helping.

Wow, I completely agree. What a beautiful, giving thread. If any homeless hurricane victims make it out to SoCal, I'll pick you up from the airport and drop you off at one of the two locations offered to you. Just PM me, please, if you need anything.

Our loved ones never truly leave us. I can sometimes feel the strong presence of my late best friend and other loved ones, who have passed away. I'm sure that you can also feel your loved ones around you, as well. *HUGS*

That's so adorable! Next, he'll probably ask her if she wants to play doctor.

VanillaSkyGirl replied to curtismelaniej's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Awesome! I won't be jumping, either, so she can hang out with me, Gerry. Also, I'm excited to finally be meeting Frenchy's beautiful girl from the last few months. YAY!!! I can hardly wait! -

VanillaSkyGirl replied to VanillaSkyGirl's topic in The Bonfire
I am not competing (not even jumping now), of course, but I am wondering who is going to be competing at Nationals this year. It would be nice to root for some of you, if only online. DZ.com name: Real name: Team name: Home DZ: Competition discipline: Will be there from_____until ______ -
Have a wonderful birthday, Marks!

Happy Birthday, LisaMarie!

Oh Andrea, I am so sorry that you had to go through this. This kind of situation doesn't aways turn out ok, but you showed that doggie kindness and cared for it, until it passed away. You were that doggie's angel. At least it didn't pass away alone and frightened in the street.

I was not wearing any more than about 12 lbs. of lead in Sebastian I now have a bigger weight belt that will allow me to wear more lead, if needed.

He used the 100 lb. girl example when he was giving the speech at Elsinore. People kept giggling and nudging me...and they were some of the instructors.

Interview with Juliana Sé from Black Magick
VanillaSkyGirl replied to VanillaSkyGirl's topic in Wind Tunnels
Bowen, thank you for the complimentary post. I, among many others, greatly admire Juliana and her flying. She is a wonderful coach and an incredibly talented & graceful flyer. She is also a very humble and giving person. It was truly a pleasure to interview her. Yes, I'll definitely be working on some more interviews for our site very soon. I've had much positive feedback about the interviews and our other new features. Thanks! -
I've done that before several times. This is why corn holders were invented, my dear.

I know exactly how you feel, Kel! I've fought the urge to hold down a total stranger and tweeze that person's unibrow! An intervention is definitely needed for people sporting unibrows..
