I am looking for help from someone in or near to Temple, TX. Me and a friend bought a beater bike that we are going to use for parts off Ebay, and the seller is in Temple. We have to pick it up, but we are in Eloy, AZ about a 20 hour drive away. What we need is someone from the local area to pick the bike up, slap it onto a pallet, and bring it to the freight company that will bring it here (freight to be determined). we will pay for the shipping, so all you gotta is be the gopher for us. heh, or ideally, someone plans to drive out to Eloy and has room in the back of a pickup for an old motorcycle. Any takers? What would it take? I am open to suggestions. email me at jeff_agard@hotmail.com or discuss here... Thanks, jeff D-16906

Hey nice video. Much better than my first one...well done. One thing I can suggest is to turn OFF the Image stabilizer. The way it is now, the stabilizer is trying to stabile the black edges of your wide angle lens, and it makes it bounce around. So you can either turn it off and have no bouncy effect, or zoom it in and leave the stabilizer on. Otherwise, work on the exit, and you are golden. jeff D-16906

I have a question for all the lawyers out there. First the reference, AZ Landlord Tenant Act According to and listed under § 33-1308. Exclusions from application of chapter, it states that "Unless created to avoid the application of this chapter, the following arrangements are not covered by this chapter: ... "5. Occupancy by an employee of a landlord as a manager or custodian whose right to occupancy is conditional upon employment in and about the premises." And now for the question: My situation is exaclty what is described above in number 5, and it is not covered by this chapter, does that mean that I do not have to follow all the normal rules of notification and eviction, 30 days, writ of restitiution, etc? If not, then what rules do I have to follow, and where would I find them? Any serious help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, jeff D-16906

I went to one once in Gainesville FL. I was fascinated by the little 8 year chinese kid that was dressed in medieval garb and was playing 6 simultaneous games of chess, and beating everyone. I played him twice and he wiped the board with me. Then I spent the rest of the time walking around and taking pictures of all the "anachronisms" I could find. For example, I have a picture of a viking looking character holding a fan of one dollar bills, or some medieval woman all dressed up talking on a cell phone. I have a pic of a knight talking on a two-way radio, and another one of a medieval nun carrying a disposable camera. Then I walked up and took a picture of this kid all dressed up with bleached blonde frosted highlights in his hair. He said, in his worst imitation of an English accent "Oh look, it is one one of those creatures with one of those magical boxes" Shut up toolbox, you frost your hair. All in all it was fun, especially taking pics. There is an annual one in Florence/Coolidge (AZ), near here, I guess it lasts for a few months, and it is pretty big, but it would seem strange, the Medieval Desert. HERE is some info on the az one for all those interested. jeff D-16906

I went there once. The place is crazy, with all of its conveyor belts and such. It reminded me of Santa's workshop, but instead of elves, there were Hasidic Jews all over the place. And all the 'toys' were sweet electronic items. B&H is a great place, they are the only place I wil order electronic components from, as they ship instantly, and the prices *most of the time* are the cheapest out there WITH as reliable service. jeff D-16906

I just was in with nextel/Sprint supposedly for another year. I called them up, and told them how bad my service was, never able to get through, etc. and they said if a manager looks at my call history, they can see how bad it really is, and then waive the early termination fee, if appropriate Well, they checked it out, and the mangaer started spouting some numbers, saying it is well below the FCC standard, and that they wouldnt' waive the early termination fee ($200). She also told me that additionally, they never do that. So I told her I just got trasnferred over from someone who told me that, then they had to to transfer me to this lady...she insisted that she doesnt have the authority to do that, and that I would have to clear that with customer service, so I asked to be transferred back. I insited on my part of the story, and eventually they got a manager to approve waiving the termination fee, so that I could then close my account. They had to transfer me back to the account department, where I would close the account. I got a new lady this time, told her I would like to close my account, and verify that there would be no cancellation fee. She pulled up my account, and sure enough, it was written from the CS people to not charge me the fee. She got really mad at this, and said "they are not supposed to do that, can you please hold on sir while I verify this" yep, no problem. She came back after a few minutes, and said that they did in fact waive the fee, even though they were not supposed to. I reassured her that I would have stuck with Nextel/Sprint if i could get service at my house, but since I didn't I needed to close the account. She closed it and no fee for me. mark one for the little guy. Ymmv, but worth a shot. I am back with Verizon now. feel free to use my story, then call me when you are "in." jeff D-16906

Hey Bubbles, I went there a few years back. Here are my recommendations: Rome Florence, gotta do them. In Florence, be sure to stop at Vivoli, it is a rinky-dink gelato place right around il Duomo (the cathedral), but they have the best gelato in all of Europe, IMO. Siena... a nice small town bound by medieval walls, beautiful, old, wonderful. Venice is cool, but it smells in the summer. Still, go there so you can say "ahhh, Venice" just like Indiana Jones.... The most beautiful place I have seen in italy is Cinque Terre. There are 5 towns (cinque-5, terre-lands, pronounced chin-kwa tare-eh). It is up on western coast, and each town is about 1-2 miles apart, you get to the first one, and then hike up the small mountains, and walk the ridge over to the next town. The whole time you are right over the water, looking down, it is spectacular. Each of the towns are small, and finding a place to stay for around $20 a night is not hard to do. There is also a train connecting the towns if you don't feel like hiking. Here is a picture, not taken by me, just from the web CINQUE TERRE HEREare some more pics and info for ya. Enjoy the trip, and feel free to hire me as a translator/guide to go with you. jeff D-16906
