Realistically, I would vote for using them to build roads and civic projects, until they work themselves to death. Unrealilistically, I vote to drown em all!!!! =========Shaun ==========

I love Math. It's hard to believe that Failing Exams is a part of having your life revolving around jumping. Here at KSUPC, about 3/4 of the jumpers, JM's, and coaches are Engineers of some sort. Myself, I am an Actuary student. However, studying at the DZ never works, so i can see how you can get in a crunch. (I've put myself into that corner all too often.) Good luck, and take care of yourself for the test. =========Shaun ==========

Man, to send a jumper up for their first tandem sounds like such a thrill! Congratulations Brother!! Pardon me for asking (I haven't followed up very well) but what systems are you certified for? Personally, I am only familiar with the strong System (packed lots of em). =========Shaun ==========

Congratulations! Seems to have the attitude and perserverence, and love for the sport to stick with it through tribulations! BTW, I had the opportunity to meet an outstanding Skydiver at the last boogie who has epilepsy, didn't keep her on the ground either! STICK WITH IT!!! =========Shaun ==========

I've been dabbling in sit flying for some time. If you don't wear pants but a long sleved shirt, it makes it quite easy. However, i realized that if i screw around with ff much i'll wind up medocre at FF and Medocre at RW, as for now, i'm a belly man. opinions, check my signiture. =========Shaun ==========

I view an RSL just as Wendy Put it. Stupid Insurance, just like my Cypress. I am human, and I screw up things a lot more than i would like. I have no Camera, NO board, and for anything else i Disconnect the puppy, but otherwise i wouldn't jump w.o one. =========Shaun ==========

How about this one.... For those of you who do overload the Max Recommended Weight on your reserve, Why do you do so, and how do you justify that? This isn't a witch hunt, just let me know how you feel... sds =========Shaun ==========

Difference between F111 and Zero P chute
Unstable replied to bigkid's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Looking back and Thinking about some things, maybe my thoughts arn't totally acurate, bc while my canopy is F1-11, it also only has 7 cells. I would like to spend some time on a nice 7cell ZP canopy (I.g. Spectre, triathalon, synergy) and see what i think then. sds =========Shaun ========== -
I guess this is what matters....... Thanks. sds =========Shaun ==========

All in all it comes down to DZ regulations, and what exactly a DZO feels is an acceptable risk. Where I come from, Skydive Kansas Has enacted a system resembling this. They are a very safety-oriented DZ and i respect them for that. However, other DZ's in the area have no such regulations, and i don't believe there is a significant difference in injury rate. My home DZ is very laid back, and in a club-like atmosphere, everybody knows everybody's strengths & weaknesses & relative skill. If somebody is jumping something to hott for their abilities, be assured that they will be spoken to. Personally, i prefer our system. For starters, in small cessna DZ's, we have the benifit of knowing what everybody is jumping. Problems are usually resolved before a person is airborne. As with skydive KS, i don't know if their restrictions are really necessary. However, somewhere less personal (I.G. Eloy, SDC, Sebastian) may benifit from broad guidelines. thoughts? sds =========Shaun ==========

Dang, i hate these posts where it's like "it seemed like a good post at the time" then later it just looks retarded. Then i further dig myself a hole by akwardly commenting about it. dang. sds =========Shaun ==========

At first I thought, if I were Superman, a perfect secret identity would be "Clark Kent, Dentist," because you could save money on tooth X-rays. But then I thought, if a patient said, "How's my back tooth?" and you just looked at it with your X-ray vision and said, "Oh it's okay," then the patient would probably say, "Aren't you going to take an X-ray, stupid?" and you'd say, "Aw fuck you, get outta here," and then he probably wouldn't even pay his bill. Think about this one...... sds =========Shaun ==========
