  1. 0:5:0 Got 5 jumps in this weekend - Did some great RW - Turned lots of points!
  2. The Pilots at Freefall Express Skydiving, in Mt. Vernon MO, Know how to fly their 182's. I have NEVER left a Cessna that slow, it was almost like dropping straight down... I still am trying to figure out how to get an airplane to fly that slow with 4 guys in it.... =========Shaun ==========
  3. I prefer to think of them as Cozy.... I really don't mind a Cessna, that's all we have at my DZ. However, If I don't get some Turbine every three months or so, I get shaky, disoriented, overly emotional, and experience mood swings. I wish they had some sort of Trubine-Addiction patch... =========Shaun ==========
  4. Heck Man, If you break it down, it really was a number of things that all sumed up against the situation. My point basically is that as an Instructor, it really was my responsibility. Our Dropzone has students jump the Manta 288's until they are cleared for self-supervision, then they can use the Clubs Transition Rig, which has a Sabre 230. Personally, I would prefer to have a few Flight Concepts 230's for situations like these, but the call really in't mine.... =========Shaun ==========
  5. Wow - I have never heard anything but the best about Skydive AggieLand and their Folks. Aggie, you set an excellent Example. Aggieland is on my #1 place to visit next. Cya all then!!
  6. I made 5 jumps, Practiced Crosswind as well as gentile front-riser carves. Beautiful weekend. As for your Question, I'm not jumping right now because It's 10:40 at night and the DZ is closed.. =========Shaun ==========
  7. It's hard for me to believe that Mike Tyson, of all people, is in over his head. There is no reason, other than his own stupidity, for him to be in debt. =========Shaun ==========
  8. I'll see what I can do, Big guy..... =========Shaun ==========
  9. Really, That Cheap?!? And I'll bet those custom-fit molds reduce the drool factor..... Hmm, Sounds like a plan!!
  10. Here Is a very Excellent place to start Let us all know how it goes!!
  11. I dropped about $80 on a Really Nice Home Whittening kit about a year ago. Basically I stuffed this monster retainer in my mouth for half an hour in the morning and then again in the evening. Miserable. I quit using it after a month or two. Sure, my teeth were lots whiter, but the treatment was miserable. Any cuts in your gum, any sore spot in your teeth, or any sensitive areas experienced the most intense burning sensation I've ever had in my mouth. The Edges of my gums were tipped white, and The treatment made me drool like a St. Bernard. I'm just going to go see my dentist.... =========Shaun ==========
  12. Arrrrgh, I've got to get this off my chest. I learned a lot today (Translation: I screwed up, Big time...). So there I was, Instructing Static Line Students. I'm still a relativly new Instructor, I've only worked with about 50 Students as an I, and about another 50 as a coach. I've still got lots and lots to learn. After a few Experienced and Tandem Loads from our C-182, It was my turn to take a Student Load up with 2 students on Static Line and one on his 10-second delay. The winds today were curious, very shifty and out of the North-West up high and from the South-East Down low. In the period of one hour, the winds had shifted over 120 Degrees. So here I go with my load, I talk to the pilot, and three or four jumpers on the previous loads about the correct spot and the winds up top. I decide on a spot that sounds reasonable and up we go. My first student was this poor 100 pound girl under a 288 Manta. She's backing up in 8 mph Winds. The poor thing lands about 100 yards away from the Dropzone. Crappy spot. I adjust and the rest of my students land just fine. Some jumpers just find pleasure in making sure I know when I screw up. Seems my mistakes cause them great joy. Okay, so here is what I've learned today. = > First STUDENT load of the day gets a WDI, even if we've been jumping that day for some time. Sometimes we slack on that, but I'm going to just make it happens. I am responsible for my students and making sure they land safely. Thanks for letting me tell this story. It's been bothering the hell out of me today, and I wanted to get it off my chest. It feels kinda liberating to say "Hey, I #*ck#d up!!" =========Shaun ==========
  13. AHHH! I didn't even notice that it was in the wrong thread!! =========Shaun ==========
  14. It seems that every 4 years we have at least one contender make it to the primaries with nothing but they fact they came from money.... To me, he is just a Forbes Wanna-be who wants to play President... =========Shaun ==========

  22. I figure two vans running two trips on Friday, Sat, and Sunday of both weekends and one van running two trips on all other days. It would minimize passenger waiting time extensivly if we schedule according to major arrivals.. =========Shaun ==========
  23. I worked out the numbers and times.... It's very doable and economical. I worked it out to about $35 a passenger (in a 15 person van, including driver tip/jump money). PM me and I'll shoot you my figures and notes... I've done my homework..
  24. I work for a Crook. I work with Crooks. I feel like a crook every night when I go home... My only motivation is to pay for college so I can someday have a Career, not just a job. Edtied because I can't spell.. =========Shaun ==========
