I have this great idea. No really, this is an awsome Idea. I'll make Millions. I was at my old elementary school, and as I looked into each room, I saw that every single teacher had their walls COVERED with sappy motivational posters. I think they made this little kids work harder and cry less. So I had this idea to make sappy Skydiving Motivational Posters!! We could put them on the walls of the DZ, and just by looking at them, they will make people want to jump more and do stupid stuff less!! Dropzones will increase their business, and I'll make a million dollars. We gotta keep this just between you & me, I don't want anybody to know about my plan, or else I'll have some competition early in the Market.. Here are the Prototypes.... How about some Feedback!!

0:4:2 Eventful weekend here in Kansas! I made a total of 4 jumps, and I had my first Reserve Ride. Nasty tension-knot/hung slider mess - My Sabre2 must be mad at me or something.. We had the Annual Kansas State University Parachute Club Christmas Party, and this year I was given a Plaque for the work I've done at the DZ. (We nominate one Club Member per year) KansasSkydiver was honored last year. It's a very nice Plaque, and it gives my Skydiving History & some of the leadership Positions I've held. I know, I've seen the ads too. It's all relative anyways - I'm leaving for Korea for two years here in about a week. I'm just depressed to not jump for that long, and well as scheming up big plans for spring/summer 2007..

Oh yeah!!! I forget sometimes that people skydive for a living! I'm so used to being at a club dropzone where everybody just pitches in & does what they can and expects nothing in return. You are correct though - maybe I could get a job in Manifest (I've got 2-years experience in DZ office work!!)

Point well taken - I think optimally USPA would charge a dollar or two more and print a photograph of the License holder & let that stand as proof... At your jump numbers, you really can't go too uncurrent.... =========Shaun ==========

I've had enough of Kansas. I've had this plan in my mind for about a year now, I'm going to make it come true next chance I get. I'm going to runaway to Perris. Take an Entire Summer jumping vacation. Pay for a Bunk in their bunk house upfront for an entire season. Live out of the back of my car. Jump 6 days a week and go to Church on Sunday. I would Buy two or three of their "60 Jumps for $1,000" deals. I could learn to turn points competitively on my belly or become a more competent canopy pilot. Hell, get my Tandem rating and see if they'll let me do some tandems - if it's not my rig, they don't even need to pay me. I'd clean to - just let me clean & help out - I'll do it for fun. I just want to be at Perris. Is Darrel, the RW LO still at Perris? He's cool because he put his reputation on the line to get me on a Challenging load at WFFC. I'll have to say hi to him sometime. I just wanted to Rant. I've been on their webpage now almost everyday for hours - day dreaming...... =========Shaun ==========

I've seen it before & I've been the one to answer the Telephone when a DZO elsewhere calls and asks if So-and-so is really a Skydiver. Yeah it kinda lame, but I completly understand why they are doing it. You've got some 4,000 Jumps, probably more ratings than I knew even existed, and more experience than half the Staff, but they are a big DZ and often times a log book & USPA card is all they have to go on - =========Shaun ==========

I log every single jump and I get signitures. I've only been doing this for about a year now. Before, I was terrible - I only knew my jump numbers within a range of +-20. Now I log Everything. Always. Period. I look at it this way - I do a lot of Instructing at my DZ, and what kind of Instructor would I be If I didn't lead by example? If I tell my students to log each Jump, I had better damn well be doing it myself. I'm sick of this "Do As I say and Not As I do Bullcrap." Have a great day!!

Ahh yes, another Celebrity trying his hand at Politics. Hey, I'm all for it, I'm glad that people are using what positions they have to make a change in this world, but C.C. went over the line on this one. This line of C.C.'s blew my mind - BUSH started the Jihad?!?! I don't believe that he Started the Jihad, but I sure believe he's going to finish it.

No jumps in 2005 for me. No Jumps in 2006 for me. HEY, I've got one Helluva Year planned out for 2007 though!! Boogie here, Boogie there, Living in Perris Valley, working at any boogie I can.... YAHOOOOOO!!!!

Just on a seperate note - I'm not a Rigger Either. This thread is getting kinda gloomy, so I thought I would share my positive experience with my Racer, just as a Customer of Jumpshacks and as A Skydiver. Carry on!
