I was strolling down memory lane too. But from the other side. They are even more exciting when you are one of the jumpers!

Yes indeed, the songs I want are on Garage Inc. Thanks! Think I will just pick up a copy of that.

Yes, I am talking about the original $5.98 EP. Actual original title: The $5.98 EP Garage Days Re-Revisited I still have the original cassette, but want the tracks for my Mp3 player. It is an extremely difficult album to find now and I wish I had it on CD. (The $9.98 CD)

Anyone know where you can get the tracks online to download?

Nope, I usually don't jump in on the Wingsuit discussion. But then again, I haven't come across the bickering like I did in this thread, and that is what I am talking about. -

Ya know, the more I think about this comment, the more ignorant it sounds. I am not a great swooper, in fact, I downright suck in comparison to some. But I have fun doing it and I do take it seriously. I have no intention of ever becoming a world class swooper or even doing much competition. I swoop because I enjoy it and I like the challenge. But to suggest that if I am not passionate about it, then I should stick to the Bonfire and not come in the Swooping Forum, is just plain ignorant. Heck, I occasionally wander into the Wingsuit Forum, and I have never even tried one. Does that mean I shouldn't go in there? And I certainly hope no one ever reads the Freeflying Forum unless it is their passion. This is the kind of attitude that this sport, and swooping especially, could really do without. -

I agree. It is awesome for JC! And yes, the PD team is definitely a class act! -
Now THAT would have been a good-looking cover!

Obviously I simplified swooping to make a point. Being passionate about swooping doesn't mean you have to cut people down and say your canopy is better than theirs or question one's reasons for why they choose what they did, or for that matter, question one's passion about it. I think everyone, including myself, would benefit from remembering that swooping can be fun, and it does not have to be about who's better than who, or what canopy is better. But you are right, this is the Swooping forum, so it HAS to be serious and God forbid I dare tread on these sacred threads with my lack of passion for swooping. -
Again, I am not debating WHY it looks that way, or that the photograph is amazing, I am simply saying that it is an ugly cover for a magazine. I think just because it is the big thing right now, it doesn't HAVE to be the cover. Or like stated above, they could use a differnt angle. Or an entirely different idea for shot to capture the event. Some imagination would be nice, instead of just using the "money shot."

Duh! That is exactly the point of my post. -
I understand the accomplishment and significance of the photo, but damn it is ugly! Bland colors, doesn't grab your eye, hard to see the formation, cluttered looking..... You have to really strain to see the formation against the dull, crowded background. It is a good thing most readers get it with their USPA membership, cuz no one would want to pick it up! Sure, it is a great photo, and pretty amazing, but is there no thought put into what a cover should be? I would think you want something colorful and eye-catching, that grabs your attention. I mean, just because it is the big accomplishment of the moment, does it HAVE to be the cover? I am not taking away anything from the accomplishment or the photographer. I just think it looks like crap on the cover.

This is ridiculous! My canopy is better than yours! Neener, neener, neener! So, JC has gone to PD and he flies a Velocity. Anyone who has seen JC pilot his Velo will certainly agree he has not taken a step back. Call him a "sell out" and come up with a million reasons why he did it, does it really matter?? For crying out loud, he chose to jump a different canopy for a different team. Big deal. A man like JC is not going to fly a canopy he thinks is inferior or represent a company he doesn't believe in. We all make our parachutes go fast so we can skim across the ground, it's really that simple. Some do it because it is fun. Some do it to look cool. Some do it for competition. Some do it for a living. Some do it for all those reasons. But we are not saving the world. We are just skimming across the ground. -
You look like Dave Mustaine in that second one! Rock on, dude!

About every high school kid I see now has shaggy hair down over his ears and in his eyes. Do you think the long hair thing will come back around? maybe the mullet?

You probably lost him with that. -
If being "whipped" means soaking up the love from cuties like Brie, then I guess I can live with that!

I know. I just wanted to hear it!

Frontier Sky Divers MOST Expensive place to train
ccowden replied to JohnElliott's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Interests: Giving a girl oral pleasure. Comes across as being a little desperate. "Hey, pick me! Pick me! I like to give oral pleasure!" Then again, it's a bit like "Hey, train me! Train me! I have $1,000!" -
No, no, get the one people think is cool!
