I know what Italian Ice is, and yes, it is made by Italians at their Italian Ice stands. And if you aren't buying from an Italian, then it's a snow cone. But I have NEVER heard it called water ice!

I get it! Good one! I lived on a dairy farm for 2 years and we made maple syrup as well. It is really a very cool process and fun to see. Plus, the sap that comes from the maple tree tastes like ice cold sugar water! YUM!

When setting up for a high performance landing, your pattern is everything. It is extrememly important to be at the correct altitudes in your pattern at the correct times. For instance: I know where in the pattern and my set up that I want to be at 1200 feet, 900 feet and start my turn around 600-700 feet. Yes, this is mostly done with visual judgment, but of course I also use my digital altimeter as well. Having pre-set audible warnings to use as well is just another very helpful tool to have during that set up.

No doubt. My hat is off to him for stepping up to serve his country in the Marines. I was just explaining the major difference between having the Ranger tab and wearing the Ranger scroll. Ranger school was tough, but RIP and being at a Ranger Battalion is simply like being at Ranger school for your permanent duty station.

"Ranger Qualified" means simply having been through Ranger School and wearing the tab. Real Rangers are Battalion Rangers who have been through RIP, are stationed at a Ranger Battalion and wear the Ranger Scroll. You been through RIP?
