    The Ranch does have a smaller landing area than STL, but I really don't think it is any worse in terms of problems for you. And I wouldn't really consider it "small." Attached is a pic of the dz I took. Granted it is winter, but it will give you an idea. You are seeing about 2/3 of the runway and landing area in that pic.

    You are preaching to the choir here. I understand. But if he didn't tell her or he even lied about what he was doing and with whom, THEN it looks really bad when she finds out EVEN IF it was totally innocent in every sense of the word.

    Any of the NE dropzones are a good bet with "partly cloudy." If it is 60 up here, they will be jumping. I would go with the Ranch or STL over Xkeys if the weather is iffy though.

    I don't know, I think you might make it worse. I would just go about your business. You might sound guilty by defending things or bringing it up. And she obviously doesn't think her husband is gross, so it doesn't matter whether you really do want him or not. My guess... she is the jealous type and he didn't tell her about his little outing with you until she found out when you asked about how he was doing. Then everything he says sounds like a cover up.

    On the serious side... I agree with Walt. There is a GOOD possibilty that he has said things or done things to lead his "wife" to believe he is into you and now he is just trying to get you to not say anything to make it worse. He also could have lied about where he was or what he was doing to not create problems and them got caught when you asked about him, making it look REALLY bad. There are a number of possiblities here, so I wouldn't just write it off on the "wife." Bottom line, I would do as he requests, and if it is going to create tension in their relationship, you should be the one to back out.

    Ok, but what about people like myself who have NOT made up their minds? I understand that the video shows and "unrealistic" deployment for the Speedbag, but it does in fact lock and, unrealistic or not, it makes me wonder what other "unrealistic" situations it might in a "realistic" world of skydiving situations. For someone like myself, who is completely uneduactaed about the Speedbag, it is scary to see. I would have thought a freebag would pull off clean in any "unrealistic" floor test like the one that is shown. That is why I am asking to be educated. To my uneducated eye, it looks way too easy to lock in such a simple test.
