    Maybe not all. We use PDM (Pursuit Deterent Munitions) anti-personel landmines for small team defense which are not command detonated. They're thrown, they set up their own trip wires, and blow themselves up after a specified period of time if not previously activated (if they work properly). I'm not discrediting you. I'm just adding one more example besides the very familiar claymore.

    What's the Geneva Convention got to do with illegal combatants? That's what I heard Camp X-ray was full of.

    I had several cops on my team and they carry hydro-shock loaded mags at work. That is in Alabama, though.

    I'm sorry to hear about that. You shouldn't second guess yourself. You loved your dog and he was in bad pain. You loved him enough to do what you did. My sympathies.

    The point of the "ball" ammo is just to knock you down and incapacitate you. Not to kill or mortally wound you. Take the enemy out of action so they can't engage you. Hollow point type ammo is designed to rip, tear, and destroy tissue. It's meant to kill first and incapacitate second. We're such a kind, gentle, humanitarian force these days. Nobody else is but we sure the hell are. The enemy has more people in their favor than our guys. You can see that from this forum.

    As far as the military goes, it is considered a "chemical" weapon. I'm guessing it only applies to those falling under the Geneva Convention. Those girls downtown can carry all they want but the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan (or back in Haiti) cannot. Crazy!

    An example of how stupid shit like this can come back to bite us on the ass is how we can no longer carry pepper spray on operations because it is now considered to violate our policy of not using chemical weapons. There are times when it can be very useful. We carried it in Haiti. It's helpful when trying to use the appropriate level of force for a particular situation. If I can control a situation by spraying someone in the eyes with pepper spray, which causes no permanent damage, instead of having to bash their head in or shoot them, that's a good thing. The decision concerning land mines was a good one.

    My evidence for death and resurrection is in the Gospels. However, until you believe that the Bible is true and accurate, there's no basis for continuing. I agree that this won't go anywhere and it is a shame to me. There has to be a starting point. There has to be a belief in God, at least, for there to be some common ground for discussion.

    Totally being honest here. That's a good explanation of what you think. Do you have specifics that we could discuss. This is interesting to me. I agree with your description of theories and one building upon the other. You can't prove what's in the Bible with the scientific theory, though. Different analysis.

    I just see lots of criticism going in both directions with no real emphasis on specifics. A conclusion will be hard to reach that way. Although, I'm sure arriving at a conclusion will be near impossible anyway.

    There are different approaches to this. Some that people are more responsive to than others. I hate to see this turn into just a shouting match although I believe that happened already a long time ago in this forum.
