This could have come in handy when I was a student. I came in one night after quite a large one, decided I was hungry and put some chips in our archaic gas oven. Then I went upstairs to get changed and passed out on my bed. When I woke up the next morning to a really horrible smell in the house, I wandered down to ask my other 4 housemates what on earth was going on. And Mark (one of the housemates) calmly told me that I'd apparently set fire to the oven, he'd woken up about 2 hours after I'd passed out from the fumes in his room (it was above the kitchen) so he ran downstairs, had to empty the contents of a fire extinguisher we had into the oven, ran upstairs to check I was ok as my room was also near the kitchen, realised it was me who'd set the oven on fire, shouted at me for being a stupid bitch and I apparently rolled over in bed and told him to fuck off. (although I don't remember that!) we managed to blag a new oven out of the landlord though so it wasn't all bad. And from that point onwards Mark told me to wake him up whenever I got in late and pissed and he'd be happy to make me some chips if it meant I didn't try to kill him in his sleep. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

well tonight is the London Skydivers drinks night in the Montagu Pyke, it looks like there'll be a few new people along tonight so I'll be a bit more detailed with the instructions than normal! So it will be at the Montagu Pyke on Charing Cross Road, halfway between Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road tubes. There's usually a couple of people there from about 6-6.30 but most arrive around 7. We have a reserved area which is sectioned off, if you can't see it ask at the bar. To reserve this area we need to pay £10, so everyone who comes along usually donates 50p and we can cover the charge. Anyway, hopefully see you there later! Caz

Well, first of all request a "Men's Only Forum". I used to work in a bar when I was a student, and we had a similar thing, the men all complained when we had 'ladies nights', ie women got cheap drinks or free shots. They were always lively nights with loads of women and men in droves attending. But the men always used to complain how unfair and discriminating it was that they couldn't have the free drinks too. So the manager decided to hold a 'mens night' where men got the above offer and the ladies didn't. That night rolled round, and about 20 men turned up, no women, had a couple of drinks each and then disappeared off to the another nearby pub where there happened to be hosting another 'ladies night'. Moral of the story, in any male dominated area, you attract the ladies and the men will blindly follow. hey its great being a minority! ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~
