  1. Sweet vid Ian! Hopefully we'll actually get a chance to jump together again one of these days.
  2. Just got back home after going to the boogie and it was tons of fun! A huge thanks to Mike Ortiz for the awesome load organizing! Fight night was a blast. I especially enjoyed Jerm's fight with Lizard and the sheep I think there were only about 15 people there who got the joke, but I loved it! Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com
  3. And here is my comparison of the Samurai vs. Katana in that same thread Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com
  4. There is no official SDU freefly coach rating yet but it is in the works. SDU will have a very nice freefly program coming out soon....
  5. Is there a scoring summary that shows busts? I'm really curious about seeing how clean each of the rounds were. CONGRATULATIONS MAJIK!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!! Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com
  6. I'll have my RW suit with me, let's do it! If it doesn't work out we can always just go on our heads... Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com
  7. (The quote is from another thread here) It's pretty obvious that you're a really good canopy pilot far beyond us mere mortals who spend thousands of jumps learning to get better. Why go with a 66? That sounds too big for you and would probably only hold you back from learning to your fullest potential. You should call Icarus and ask them if you can get your hands on the VX 39, it would probably be a much better canopy for you. You might even try getting your hands on the Xaos 21-21 (21 square foot crossbrace) - you're probably good enough to be the first person to land it. If you're still progressing too fast then try a wingsuit, those are even smaller and you can get a lot more forward speed. Good luck with your learning, I hope you make it Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

  9. Ask the DZO, if you get permission then you're good to go with or without the coach rating. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com
  10. What's more important than the actual amount of time you fly is how it's broken up. For your first time in there I'd recommend flying 20 minutes out of an hour so you'd have 2 minutes in, 4 minutes out. It gives you time to rest, debrief and brief inbetween each session. If you want to fly more than that I'd recommend leaving at least an hour or two inbetween and then do the same - 20 minutes out of an hour. This will leave you time to rest, debrief the video and brief up the next session. The tunnel is an incredible learning tool and tons of fun. However much you do you'll want more Have fun in there
  11. I always trust my feelings with things like that. If I get a bad feeling about a jump I don't jump. It'll pass. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com
  12. You mean like this? Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

  16. Ditto! But I'd have to say both at the same time would be fun! Yeah what she said. I guess one could cook and the other could do my laundry when we're done too.... Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com
  17. Yup that's it, and check out the new updated site. Right now it's only available if you have Flash player installed but an HTML only version should be making its way up there sometime soon too. A big thanks to Pixel Sky Studios for the kick-ass web site! Oh and Chuck - I saw your suit in the shop when I was over there - it is one seriously badass looking suit! You and Katie have to post pictures after you get them. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

  22. I agree with both of these suggestions as well as adding Tunnel into the Discipline dropdown list in the jump profile Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com
  23. I wrote a comparison of the two based on my experiences here. I jump two Katana 120s now and definitely love them. I have found them to handle quite well in turbulance also. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com
  24. From his profile: "Home DZ: SGC" Ted - I have a couple of honest questions for you: 1) Why do you think that people on this board are telling you to slow down and that you're dangerous? Do you think it is because they are trying to hold you back or that they are concerned about you? 2) What have you done / seen to think that you learn quicker than others? 3) Why do you think that you cannot hurt yourself? Seriously, I am genuinely curious and want to understand your views on this. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com
