well, to tell you the truth I dont even know if one of the tandem instructors speak spanish down at my DZ. Most likely SOMEBODY is fluent in spanish at my DZ. I am more curious about getting waivers in spanish, the legal stance of that whole thing, kinda protecting my DZ, while still letting my friend aware of all the risks. Also I am looking for some stuff that I can give him before he goes down to read, like basic "So you want to SKYDIVE!"stuff. What have you done to instruct tandem passengers who only speak spanish if there is nobody that speaks good spanish at your DZ? Im worried that the waivers wont be valid, or my friends wont be able to fully comprehend the instruction. Is there anything online I can print out that would help the Tandem I deal with this? its possible to be very frugal in your expenditure in skydiving. But its hard to be CHEAP (at least in my mind). My exspenses so far: AFF - about 1,200$ (thats if you fail no levels) rig - 600 jumpsuit - 100 helmet - 50 altimeter - 100 So expect to spend about 2 grand to get your first rig and your training. That is if you look REALLY hard for the good deals. Theyre out there, you just gotta find them. When to advise SL to an AFF student?

biggest peice of advice my JMs gave me was...STAY CURRENT and RELAX. Its fun man, but its fun that if you dont practice, you suck at. You need to stay current, or think about saving your money up so you can go through AFF in a few days. Don't spread it out over 4-5 months, it makes it a lot harder (I know, I did my first 6 jumps that way, then my last 3 were on the same day and it was SO MUCH BETTER). Your learning curve will sky rocket while doing multiple jumps a day. And being a beginner that gets a bit apprehensive on jump run, the second jump of the day is a LOT more relaxing, at least it was for me!
