Really? Go figure. Of course I agree with Bill because it dangerous to not agree with someone that is right 99% of the time....... BUT I'm going a little short based on what my spies on the ground are telling me, of course I think Bill is there......so I'm screwed! You only realize how much most people don't care about big ways till your trying to hear about one.....I thought there would be a lot of chatter about this one though. Just heard from a buddy who's there supporting his g/f that they just took off. He says the warm up jumps (he was flying base) were very strong and that the team was doing great. Feeling good about my 7th jump bet...... Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

170-175 I think, I believe they are jumping with 180 right now. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

I'm still betting 7 but if the winds keep going and these 7 get broke up over several days, Bill's bet is better. They need a good day of jumping then a jump or two.............. Has the mens WR jumped at all? Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

Ok after much debate, I'm selecting jump 7 as the completion jump. That's fump seven of the full attempt. Any one else got a pick? Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

I don't think this has been mention. During the debrief we had a video of one jumper spun up under a stelito. She had time to exit, open and kick out of line twist above , I believe, 1,500 feet-of course the pucker factor was in place and she was very ready to move to plan B. I was quite pleased at how well this was handled by everyone, and IMO NOBODY made a wrong decision. This has been one of the better threads in a long time. I have to say I have never seen anyone go after it as hard as you have - and coming from me that says a lot Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

First everyone made the correct decision for themselves, everyone landed safely! The plane was reasonable clam during the event. After we landed we talked about what we could have done better. The most important point I think that got brought out was that the time to think about how high to use which handle should be done before you get on the plane NOT when you are faced with the decision. For me, provided that I believe the pilot is handling the situation in a heads up manner – and BTW this fellow was on top of it – I’m on my main to 1,500 below 1,500 I am staying with the aircraft UNLESS the pilot says otherwise, then it’s to the reserve. I stay in the plane almost no matter what below 500 feet. Our reserves are great, reliable and all but I have more trust in a pilot landing a Otter with and engine out than I want to trust my reserve. Many people feel different; you should do what you feel good with. Overall everyone did a good job. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

Never a dump question. Here's somehting that doesn't get talked about a lot. Going out "last" At one time or another people fall in love with "last out" and that's fine but organizers know a pretty good secret. It's also the easiest slot. Period, by far. Yous till need to soft dock, but the action takes place in the middle. you approach (in the middle) with people in front of you, right and left of you and of course behind you. BUT what about the long dive?? Surely that's a big skill. Naaaa. You have to have your middle people come in fast BUT with control - remember there's people all around you. But nothing happens till the middle is built. In most case the late diver's hang out and wait for the formation to build. Local big ways have longer dives for late divers than (in most cases) really big stuff (+100) but that is because we work real hard on emptying the plane FAST. Hey all, Just thought it might help to get the selection process out here for the folks that want a slot on the Georgia State record event. There seems to perhaps be some confusion. Currently the plane captains are Fortson Rumble, Jack Donovan and Ken Stone. Carl Daughtry will be the supreme commander, and head axe man Everyone else will need two of the other plane captains to sign them off to get a slot. While our number one goal will always be safety we are hopping to complete this record in three attempts and then enjoy the rest of the boogie. Having 1,000 jumps over 10 yrs and nothing larger than a 22 way in the last 5 years isn’t going to be as impressive as someone with 400 jumps, and real current, that the plane captains know. So if you’re interested in a slot on the record please come out to one of the camps. We have three people from the Americus camp that will be attending the Farm camp. We need to get to know you and your skill levels. The cost is almost nothing, we will ask the group to pay for the pack jobs of the people putting on the camp and video. ($10 or so) Maybe a beer at the end of the day. If I had to guess I’d say there are 20 slots available for the record attempt The Farm camp is limited to twenty people, we have 10 or more firm now. If you have any question please feel free to PM me and I’ll be glad to answer any questions I can.
