Could a homeowner's gun have saved this woman's life?
Botellines replied to peacefuljeffrey's topic in Speakers Corner
Do you remember that post about a gorgeous 23 years old teacher that slept with a 15 year old student? well, i didn´t see the 15 years old guy as a victim, it was wrong, but the guy knew perfectly what he was doing. And then this guy who thinks i am a pedophile because i didn´t agree with him that the guy was a victim, threatened to shoot me if i ever get close to his nephews who happen to live in the same city I live. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=1136153;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25; Here you have the link, it is long, but it is worth. You can see how some people in a heated discussion can loose control. -

Yep! Yeah, a moderator told him it was not nice to threaten to shoot another poster and deleted his post. He just helped me prove my point that not everybody is suited to own a gun. -
Could a homeowner's gun have saved this woman's life?
Botellines replied to peacefuljeffrey's topic in Speakers Corner
Hmmm. You mean scared of them enough not to trust them with firearms? i am not so scared of armed people to also buy a gun to try to defend myself, if that is what you mean. You know, with great power comes great responsability, and there is many people out there who i don´t think are responsible enough to own a firearm. A DZ.commer threated me once to shoot me, go figure!!!! -

Botellines replied to peacefuljeffrey's topic in Speakers Corner
Why do you assume I am blind to those dangers? Actually no, because although i have been robbed several times, there has not been any situation that a gun would have helped me more than my legs. No, they want to get what i own, the harm part is a supposition of yours. Given the option beetwen losing my wallet, my watch, and my shoes or having to pull out a gun, and kill someone, i prefer to loose just money. If someone attempt to rob me, and i cannot beat the crap out of him for whatever reason, i will give him my personal belongings and call the police. I don´t want to make the commitment to carry a firearm with me 24/7 just in case one day someone is going to rob me and i don´t want to loose 300$ worth of belongings. I now that you are pro-gun, do you carry a loaded weapon close to you 24/7 just in case? Do you carry it everywhere risking to loose it? because if not, what good would it make a gun if you leave it at home and you get robbed in the street? IMO to have a gun for self defence is a commitment and respnsability to great for just what ifs. -
Is this one of the Nigerian scams? Sounds like a good deal!

I think it is funny. Come on, PJ. We are not here to change the world, or even your elections. Try to have a bit of humour. -

How is it to always be scared of the people? Don´t you get tired of thinking that maybe you will be the next one murdered? Why do you skydive? aren´t you afraid to be the next one with a double mal? Do you have so many enemies? -
I might not be so in favor of the death penalty...

Botellines replied to peacefuljeffrey's topic in Speakers Corner
Okay, now that is funny. . I am against death penalty (just in case there is no reincarnation) that is not to say that some people do not deserve to be killed. Some of them deserve to be killed several times, however, with death penalty you are giving the goernment too much power. Besides, i do not believe in the justice system. It is proven that not everybody has the same chances when facing a trial. It depends your race, how much money you have to get good lawyer, politics. -
Dude, I propose you to change a few things in your first post. Liberal -> Republican Irak -> White House Bush -> Clinton WMD -> Blowjob There you have, funny as well.

Yes it will.. Considering Russia made over 100 suitcase nukes in 1975 and can't account for any of them we might want to be more careful than that... I wouldn't be suprised if one goes off in Iraq and we get blamed.... Or the next one goes off in New York. To drop a nuke in a sovereign country sets a very dangerous precedent. If the U.S army drops a nuke on Irak it would be giving the moral justification to al quaeda to do the same in the U.S.

So much for the "It is not about oil" theory We don´t know yet, when the U.S leaves Irak we will see.

Kerry supporters rip up 3 year-old girl's Bush/Cheney poster
Botellines replied to tunaplanet's topic in Speakers Corner
Man, that is so funny... -
If Cheney and Halliburton made public before Cheney being vicepresident how much money Haliburton owed him, and how it was going to be paid, I don´t see much problem with that as long as he doesn´t get any less/more. However, if that figure has not been made public, no one could control wether Halliburton is bribing Cheney or not. And we all know how this lobbys work.

I think this thread is about how irresponsible and stupid it is to act upon information without double checking first its validity. Bush fits VERY well, in this thread.

"Let them go naked for awhile, at least the kids"
Botellines replied to mnealtx's topic in Speakers Corner
I can think of several uses that would put a generator up in the priority list. - Hospital needs electricity. - With electricity you can boil water so not to catch infections. It is not that the average person needs electricity to plug the laptop, but some community centers need electricity to save lives. Maybe that is what she was referring to. Or maybe not. Who knows? -
Swing voters usually aren't real big on the whole "going naked" thing.
Botellines replied to Deuce's topic in Speakers Corner
Well, after peacefuljeffrey´s tantrum about how miserable was life with no electricity, i guess priorities has changed a little. -
Fair enough, so the U.S is trying to fix the mess. Now honestly, is the U.S fixing the mess or is it making a bigger one? 1 year after the war and there is still chaos. Do you honestley think that Irak will ever be pacified with U.S intervention. It would be better to handle it over to the U.N. They will be at the mercy of the insurgents even if Irak is pacified. They will retaliate anyway. I have an idea, what about a green card for everyone (relatives) who helped you out? That would be the only feasible way to protect their lives.

Protestors Storm U.K. Parliament During Hunt-Ban Debate
Botellines replied to peacefuljeffrey's topic in Speakers Corner
Had it happen in the U.S congress, they would have shoot Batman down. -
I think the question is if Irak will ever be pacified by the U.S and if the cost will be acceptable under international standards. If not, the best for the U.S and for the rest of the world would be to pull out from Irak. Every day that passes more U.S soldiers die, more innocent civilians die, and more unhappy muslims get recruited by al-quaeda. While the U.S is wasting time, resources and human lives in Irak, chances are that al-quaeda is planning the next attack on your homeland from Europe or South America, or even from inside U.S. using the oportunity that most of your troops are somewhere else.

If you think my second language is funny you should hear Bush speak spanish, or English for that matter. I caught the irony of the sentence. I do think it is funny that i was talking about how bad Bush is and i make those mistakes. It is just that it gets old after a while that people picks on spell and grammar. I assure you that i could write much much better than what i normally do, i just don´t think it is necesary to take the time to do it since for me it doesn´t come up naturally. Besides my points are well understood (albeit disagreed) even with those spell and grammar mistakes. So maybe if your people were INFORMED they might be better able to makea good choice?

The things I will state are absolute FACTS, and are totally ture, whether you like to believe it or not. The Bible has the same factual value as the Koran, and as the Tora. None in my personal opinion. However, do you realize how silly what you are saying sounds? So you have the TRUTH, and anyone who disagrees is wrong. This very same fanatic religious ideas is what served Osama Bin Laden as justification to his terrorists acts. You are very well respected in the skydiving comunity, too bad you don´t show any respect in a non skydiving forum.

You don´t get it. It is not anybody but Bush. Bush has been president for 4 years, and he has shown what he can do for the U.S and for the rest of the world. Many, many people is unhappy with his performance, and if you are honest with yourself and under a capitalist world, if the U.S was a large compañy and Bush his advisor, he would have been fired long ago. Now, no one is so naive to think that Kerry is the right president, He may not even make a decent one, but under the present circumstances, the safest thing to do is to vote the one who is going to damage the country less hoping that within four years, you will have a decent candidate to POTUS.
-
Here in Spain, most people thinks that Bush is an uncultural moron who cannot read or write properly and is unsuitable for POTUS. Respect = 0/10 Most people is afraid as well of the damage he has done and will continue doing to the international stability. About Kerry, the news don´t say much, except that he is running against Bush. No mention to his continues flip-flops. To be honest the media doesn´t talk neither about Bush´s domestic fuck-ups like economy etc. So Kerry IS respected because he has the chance to stop Bush, although not for his own merits. He is not very well known around here.

10.000+ innocent people murdered and slaughtered are nothing wrong, right? Maybe they are playing death. .
