  1. There was a stretch there where FOIAs were taking a long time. I'm actually impressed that you have gotten as much as you have out of your requests not being a US citizen. You've gotten way better results than I have or many others. Ryan and crew like to attack you for holding onto your information. I learned my lessons and keep my cards close. I can vouch 100% that I've seen some of Fly's research, to include FBI- files, sketches, and pictures, and other info. In many cases I would like to use it, but can't. And I know that is just a fraction of what Fly has. Bottom line is that he does not owe anything to anyone. No matter what he publishes on the case, regardless of it is related to Hahneman, the social club will cut it down, all the while blindly accepting what Ryan says and then parroting it. Can you imagine if Bruce Smith claimed consensus on all the things Ryan has? Or if Bruce purposely warped the truth? There are posters on Reddit practically repeating word for word what Ryan says on other pages. Luckily EU and Gryder have big followings too, so at least the false info is diluted.
  2. Someone on Reddit claimed Ryan does use the scientific method. Laywer trick. Appeal to authority, in this case the authority is the term consensus. Like referencing the supsect matrix that no one has seen yet in its full form. I believe I've heard this "consensus" comment claiming consensus on the A sketch, the thin nose, the triangle head, Gunther made it up, Gunther got hoaxed, Hall is the best suspect. I've lost track of all the consensuses.
  3. As usual I need to translate this for people. You insinute that this is a collaboration. It is not. Fly has been calling you a liar for a while, I have bit my tongue. I called you sneaky over text two years ago, and felt a little bad about it, but it was true then and is now. I've just gotten to the point where your antics require someone more than just Flyjack to call out. It's easy to make him look like the boogeyman when it is just him. This isn't you and Cunningham or your other buddies. Fly and I like eachother, but literally have never met and I have only spoken to him once, and it was about the US government process and not DB Cooper. You keep using supsects as your proxy. You went after Hahneman, then Smith, you have an issue with McCoy, and even had issues with Lisa when she was discussing Reca. Suspects come and go, none of them last. I don't push Smith, but I do defend things when you say ridiculous things like he can't be Cooper because his 6 year old daughter waited up at night to see headlights. Same for Hahneman, Fly does not push him, he mainly just corrects the record. You love suspects for some reason. You like putting them down and you like building certain ones up. I'm saying what the FBI says and a whole lot of other people say, that B is the more accepted sketch. It does not even fit Smith's nose, his is bigger, at least in some pics. However, A is too weird, no one has that nose except people who have had work done. You also make sure to push certain suspects like Hall, while not critiquing other suspects that probably need critiquing. Who is everyone? Nicky who used B sketch? The Braden group who uses B, the Recca group, Rackstraw, etc? As far as I remember, it has mostly been EU pushing for A to try and pass off Sheridan as Cooper. And agenda does not need to be profitable or even nefarious. I told you I think you are very deep into this case. I think you overthink it and think it about too much. EU was the same way, and I realized after being around him that that was all he thought about and talked about. He was always looking for some new angle that probably did not exist. Like looking at an art piece or a poem trying to find some hidden meaning. I think you love the case, I think you want to be heard, and I think you want to control the narrative. You also seem to like the pseudo camraderie you get from it. Again, sneaky lawyer tricks. Focus on a suspect, make it seem like without a suspect then the B sketch would be moot. The last time I thought A was the right sketch was in 1987, long before Smith. You continue to withold information about the sketches. None of them are pictures. If they were, then we'd have found Cooper. I don't think everyone agrees with you on A, they just don't say it. Just like the morality police decided you have to use POI and not suspect, and you can't name suspects who were not investigated by the FBI, this is the same thing. You've now made it that someone has to tie Cooper to the A sketch and have a movie star thin nose. This is the Western Flight Path. Talk about it enough and people believe it. I don't even remember you using the term ethnic, at least not with me. Must have been on Facebook. You're not the one who invented that. The 302s have Latin, swarthy, olive, etc. To me that means ethnic, I just don't use the term. I've been clear for years that there are plenty of areas of Europe that have these types of individuals. You and Nicky tried to claim Sweeden is home to many of them. Again, you want people to think that we disagree with you because we are pushing suspects. We did not invent the B sketch. I disagree with your approach. The changing of suspects, the treehouse club, you claiming your views are right, withholding info. You would love for DZ to go away, you've got people convinced that this place is just Fly and I badmouthing you. The fact is that you go unchecked, and this is the only place to check you. I would be fine to never comment on Reddit. I don't care for Eric's or Gryder's methods, but if they bring publicity to the case then I'll post it on Reddit. You'll notice that I rarely answer questions, I usually just post, except when you or your fan club get on there and don't tell the whole story or when I see accounts pop up out of nowhere who only comment when it comes to Smith, or Fly, or Blevins, or to promote Vordahl. I don't know if I would call you a liar, even though you have told some mistruths, but I definitely say you lie by omission and try to play to an audience by using logical fallacies and other methods. We need to bring back Bruce Smith and have someone just lay out the facts. You certainly are not doing it.
  4. It’s an integrity issue at this point. Ryan’s input in the case is important, but it’s becoming an issue. Bruce would never have tried to sway the narrative so much, even though he liked MACV SOG for the hijacking. He’s going to need to take a break from Reddit at some point. Many of the users there are new or have minimal knowledge and can be swayed, especially by someone like Ryan. Even Cunningham isn’t banned from there, as abrasive as he is. In fact, Nicky is the only well known person banned. Most if not all of the bans on there are trolls and people trying to sneak around. Even a temporary ban is not something the mods want to do with Ryan, but this is getting ridiculous. All he has to to is lay out the facts and not start off with “Flyjack and Dave are biased” Maybe lawyers don’t think there are integrity issues doing things the way Ryan does, but I do.
  5. Perfectly said. He has a lot of case knowledge but is a conditioned defense attorney.
  6. Very good points about getting max views. There are other engagement metrics too that need to be considered. I liked Anthony’s YouTubes on Cooper. He kept them short, usually below 20 minutes. His were basic, using PowerPoint to add structure but nothing crazy requiring a lot of tech. I posted one here. Like any topic on Cooper, you could go on for hours. But distilling it down to the basic points is better, 10 minutes is really a preferred time to get max views inside and outside the Vortex. If you were really getting deep into something, then longer can work. But for instance, one could lay out the basics of the sketches and let the viewer make some decisions. This could be done in 10-20 minutes. Bottom line is Ryan is pushing the A sketch and not providing the info about the other sketches. Then you have members of the Facebook group who blindly agree with him, yet they do not ask any questions or look for more info. Ryan is good with off the cuff knowledge, and is well versed in the case. So getting a question answered by him is good. However, that often makes people assume his opinions are facts, when in reality most of his info is facts, but the opinion pieces like the A sketch get lumped in. EU has a lot of case knowledge too, some of it has atrophied, but he throws a lot of opinion in claiming it’s factual or gospel. The sketches are interesting, but to say the A sketch with its crazy thin Hollywood plastic surgery nose is best, is a leap. A looks like an alien. We have to take the sketches and descriptions as a whole. But Ryan wants to make us think the FBI made a mistake. I may gather all the info on the sketches and lay it out in a short video and then let people decide. Ryan’s parrots won’t change their mind though until Ryan decides B is better when the next new suspect comes out. Remember, he used the B sketch to push Vordhal
  7. Ryan’s A sketch stands is being parroted by a few on Facebook, to include one of the Vordahl tie pushers Drew. Ryan wants people to believe that the B sketch was a mistake. His argument uses a red herring by stating memories of an event are better closer to an event. I generally agree with this, with some caveats. However, when he uses this approach, he leaves a lot of information out. Lies by omission. Just give all the facts Ryan. Yes, the terms "red herring" and "misdirection" are essentially synonymous when used to describe a diversion of attention or a deceptive tactic. Both refer to the act of leading someone away from the real issue or truth, often with the intention of distracting them from a more important detail or aspect of a situation
  8. I can’t find anything in my notes about any witness saying thin or small for the nose. I think Alice maybe used the term small. Can someone confirm?
  9. She was 6 in 1971. Ryan always leaves that part out and then uses misdirection to make some other aspect look important then spends time debunking that. Fly, you and I clearly enjoy the hobby, the chase, figuring things out. So if someone wants to attack my favorite baseball player or my favorite, go ahead, I’m still going to be interested in them. Ryan attacks suspects. He has done it relentlessly with Hahneman when he was called out by Fly. Same thing when I called out issues with Vordhal. All of a sudden there was a swell of focus on Smith. I’ve said before that you could have video on the plane and yet this won’t be solved to everyone’s satisfaction. So me spending time on Gunther and Smith whether as one or separate lines of effort is irrelevant. I’ll keep doing it even with no final end. I do think we will know who licked the stamp. My public efforts now usually entail trying to bring new people in or people who are not part of the Facebook clubs. And, calling out what is frankly dishonesty and integrity issues that I see from Ryan and a few others. Ryan does not have the juice to get Smith’s daughter on his show. And if he does, it will be the same bias as his other videos. Not to mention you still have a 6 year old who does not want her father to be DB Cooper. I assume Ryan is honest and has integrity in his regular life, he is just lacking in it in the Cooper case. He’s probably a good defense attorney. Juries don’t always consist of three cream of the crop, so his skills like logical fallacies, gaslighting, misdirection, red herrings, etc. are probably very useful in convincing them. Every time Smith, Hahneman, Gunther, Vordahl, Hall come up there is a general lack of forthrightness from Ryan and a few others. And people wonder why we don’t like sharing our research with others anymore.
  10. Ryan’s latest outburst below. From Reddit. A conversation about William Smith. I’m sure if he even makes a video that he will leave out all sorts of information. Time to make a video on this. You were so certain that I was in some sort of cahoots with his daughter. I wasn’t before, but I’m pretty damn sure about to be. I’m going to reach out and have her on my show. WJS is finished. He’s about to become a punch line for a bad suspect just like Kenny or Barb.
  11. We don’t know how unique a history the tie had. There have been very few if any legitimate control items tested. I don’t think the tie folks want to test a bunch of items, it will ruin the fun and there won’t be anything to talk about at CooperCon. EU wouldn’t have much to talk about if we found out the particles could have come from some industrial park.
  12. I think from day one people were enamored by the special ops deal. Mission Impossible,James Bond, whatever. There is a reason these type of movies sell. You don't see too many movies out there about guys who were Army cooks or radar operators. Stolen Valor is usually someone claiming to be a SEAL, a Medal of Honor recipient, a POW. Never a cook or a supply clerk. So, Fly's commentary is spot on from my perspective. I looked back at some email comms I had with Bruce Smith back in 2018 when I started really getting into the case. I wrote this to him: "This does not smell like a special operations operation or mission. It just doesn't. Having parachute training and being in special ops are very different."
  13. How many hijackers were actual pilots? To me a pilot indicates that they were likely an officer in the military. Not exclusively, but typically. And if they became a pilot as a civilian in 1971, then that might indicate they had money or resources, as well as intelligence. If this is the same FBI profile I’m looking at, they say Cooper was a high school graduate with some college, but also listed as executive type. I don’t put executive type as being someone with just a little college. My issue is that both Vordahl and Hall have been touted using just portions of the profile. If using this profile, then it makes sense to use the whole thing when referencing suspects.
  14. The money was buried at Tena Bar. How do we know this? Well, EU says it and a hydrologist who went to CooperCon said it.
  15. Marty got pushed into that whole thing. With time he may have been able to realize the program he used was outdated and that the amount of writing was not enough to make a comparison. However, anyone can compare what we have and tell you the letters don't match. I'll call it like I see it. I believed then and still believe now that it was an effort to discredit William Smith (unbeknownst to Marty). Nicky and Jude were quick to jump on the results, Jude and Ryan were part of the research, and Chris C. was right there to defend Marty and call the research legit. This was all exacerbated by the Dayton crew wanting Barb to be part of Gunther. It is always the same usual suspects. The amount of regulars on the case is small, so personalities and agendas are easy to spot. This is the video I did debunking the whole thing. I could do more, but it is not worth the time. At some point I should upload the files I used, but again, not worth my time right now. The whole stylomtery field is fascinating and I was able to correspond with some of the well known academics in the field. I even spent some time analzying posters on the old DB Cooper Forum and identifed a number of people with mulitple screen names. In those cases there was more than enough text to compare. It just goes to hilight the antics in this case. Frankly, I really miss Bruce Smith and a few others.
  16. No one challenged it as far as I know, unless you count EU's Western Flight Path. I'd be curious to see what R99 and Georger think about it. Marty too. A few others.
  17. This is the filight map that the PhD students made. I have not looked at this in a bit, but is this the original map they made, or have they adjusted it? It seems to have relied heavily on info from Chaucer, but I'm wondering why the times don't match up with the original FBI map, and it seems that there is a mark missing near the Columbia. The LZ looks to be south of where we had originally thought. Is that a Dr. Edwards thing or a Chaucer? Frankly I have not seen much of a deep dive into this map. https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/f55f8cf3e36a4fdabdf10b4ac031d514
  18. Agreed. There will be any number of outputs depending on your input. Ask a program to make a pic of all the info available is different than saying "make a pic of a man aged 45, brown hair, narrow face, blue eyes, wavy hair" or "make a pic of a middle aged man, wearing these clothes, brown eyes, regular face" or upload a few sketches and then start from there. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder here. AI is fascinating and has a lot of good uses, but making an accurate sketch of DB Cooper 50 years later is not one of those good uses.
  19. Hall has ushered in an age of the Chinese buffet in the case. A little bit of this, a little bit of that. Pick a little bit of Air America, Elsinore, explosives, parts of the FBI profile, some soldier of fortune, Castro, foundry, titanium, beef lo mein, General Tso's, and some crab rangoon.
  20. The group went all in on Vordahal. All in on Barb being Clara. All in everytime the tie particles get looked at. The latest all in besides Hall is the A sketch and the small nose. But what is hilarious is that Hall keeps getting compared to the B sketch, it is on the cover of the book. Also, he has far from a small nose. So which is it? As Ted Kaczynski said "you can't eat your cake and have it too" Apparently Cooper is left handed. I don't see any turkey gobble on Hall. No color pics. He's just the latest suspect, there will be more. This is just one more opportunity to watch the group contradict themselves and then claim that changing your mind is a good thing. Bottom line is that they need this case and will continue to find things to get excited about. Please people get some hobbies. Maybe a girlfriend/boyfriend, a new spouse, a harder job, I don't know, something.
  21. Some commentary on Ryan's YouTube video. I may add more later. I only watched a few minutes that was relevant to Skip, me, and Fly. First of all, I really don't mean this with malice Ryan. But you are very very deep into Cooper, maybe as deep in as I've seen anyone. You never miss a chance to reply to a thread, anytime something comes up, you do a video. I honestly don't know how anyone has 3 plus hours to spend on a weekday night doing Cooper videos, or worse, a weekend. Week in week out. From an outsider's perpspective, any of us would be considered crazy for even spending a few minutes a week on this. But you've taken it to a new level. Hopefully I'm not the first one to tell you this, but you might want to think of ways to step away here and there. I speak from experience, it is nice to do, and you can still keep your eye on the case. It seems that in the past 18 months or so you've gone even deeper, and in the past maybe 6 months even deeper than that. There are other things in life. Hobbies, family, work, friends. If you consider some of the people in the Cooper case your best friends, ones you met in your 40s and hardly if ever see, then that seems a little off. Those are your choices though, not mine. It seems bad, even unhealthy for you. Anyhow, on your video. Fly and I did not leave the main Vortex group because we are ostracized. Maybe we are, but I assure you we don't care. I left on my own, Fly never really joined. He has always marched to the beat of his own drum, which I respect. He joined Facebok for a bit, but you claim Eric caught him. I don't buy that. Eric does not catch much, even when it is right in front of his face. I'd guess it was you or Nicky. I communicate with a few people on my own. There are a lot of people who are nice who really don't say much, and then there are the regulars who frankly I don't have a lot of interest in. A good number of them are peoople I just don't like. I didn't grow up with them, they are not family, I did not go to college with them, serve with them, live with them, etc. So being ostracized by the band kids or the JV volleyball team does not bothere me. The Muppets. Good one. I use that one a lot. We are showing our age. I think I used that to refer to Georger and Robert once. Oh well. Fly and I don't bitch, we call you and others out for your constantly shifting ideas. No one on Facebook seems to do that. As much as I'd like to leave, I think staying here and on Reddit will allow for people to at least see that there are more sides to the story. Hahneman. I've said how to pronounce the name. You keep saying it your way. It sounds petty. You are smart. Learn how to say it. I was born in Hahneman hospital, spoke pretty good German at one time, my father speaks it, one grandmother, and others in my family. It really comes across as a petty attack on Fly. Hall is your suspect right now. You say he's the best out there or the best that comes from the case. Then you say "he's not Cooper", you always play both sides. Never a straight answer. You are buddies with John, Nicky, Chris C., etc. You guys just won't stick with the facts. It is an adult fraternity for you guys. More to follow possibly. You guys went all in on Vordahl. You were all in on Braden before that. I joined in 2016 and there were plenty of files available on Cooper, have we really learned so much more in the past 2 years that warrants you changing from Braden to Vordhal to Hall (support)? I don't think so. Every argument of yours seems to involve using me or Fly or Smith or Hahneman. It is obvious to more than just Fly and myself. It reminds me of watching MSNBC or reading Twitter. Someone asked the other day what the best cigars were, and you can't even have a conversation without a bunch of people commenting on Trump's tarrifs. Fly is now Trump, everything he does is wrong (sorry Fly). I get the lawyer tricks. You are probably conditioned to playing to an audience, but all those tricks are getting old and are bordering on questionable integrity. I'm sure you are a good lawyer and respected, but the things you do in the case are questionable. I realize that in law this happens, but we are not a jury, we are not trying to win for our client. This is not a win lose scenario, in fact it is a lose lose. We are not really getting anywhere and won't. The Facebook group is group think. Please don't text me right after you read this. I want to enjoy my weekend and not think about Cooper.
  22. I remember how people called out Vince Petersen for parting his hair differently than Cooper. The Facebook has a new fake account that likes to praise Ryan. Khadi Madama. Even has links to other accounts that are fake or don’t go anywhere. This fake user called Ryan “genius” for this forehead wrinkle. These fake account holders are simple to spot.
  23. Ryan’s YouTube video. Oh boy.
