    This thread has been heavily moderated. And I had posted an appology to Andy9o8 about coments of his of other posters comments.Are you still following this. But after reading his response to my response of his quoute. I ealized my accusation was wrong and posted as such but it was removed. I dont know if Andy9o8 saw it before it was removed or not. He has PM's turned off so that did not work. Mods please leave this I am sure Andy will know what I am talking about. And yes yoohoo I gotta buy beer for my first deleted post.     Yes it is very tense times for them. But it does not allow them to open fire on anyvehicle just because it is a close match to the one the suspect was last reported driving. And this is not the only wrong vehicle they shot up. They also shot up a black one nearby there. And yes those cops should be prosecuted. Whatever happened to verifieng your target.     uh... the .223 (5.56x45) is not "also known as a .22 caliber" except maybe as a joke amongst people who prefer the .308 (7.62x51) The .22 LR (5.6x15) is "also known as a .22 caliber" Another post that shows just how much an antigun knows. A. 223is definatly a 22caliber. But I The people here that own them and understand the termonology obviously are not as the ones that oppose guns.We obviously dont even know what we own.     I still think it is a number pulled out of somebodies ass because like I said I have never found a list of deaths by model number of guns. If you know of one please post it.     Sure, those 270 or so people killed by AR every year just aren't worth bothering about. I'm surprised the police even bother to investigate. Do you have a cite for the 270 or so killed by AR's a year? Because I have never found one that breaks it down to specific model numbers of guns. Or is this another number you pulled from your ass?     I believe we have one. It's just toothless courtesy of the gun lobby and people like you. No it's toothless because of our justice system. I used to have a friend that did six months in clark county jail. His crime was stealing a firearm from another friend transporting it across state lines and then shooting a liqour store clerk during an armed robbery. And he only got six months. That is our justice system letting us down. They do not prosecute crimes to the extent they should they would rather plea bargin it down to keep there conviction rate up. So what if somebody that was facing 10 to20 years goes free in 6 months they got a conviction thats what counts to them. Enforce the laws we have on the books now and forget about new ones.     I don't know exactly what went on on that subway platform. But some people want to degrade people that were there and know what went down for not helping the man. Answer me this that man was pushed onto the tracks. Whats to say if somebody did try to help him out that the same person that pushed him in would not push in whoever tried to help.     You ever see WW2 videos and notice how many 50cal rounds were needed to bring down a zero and they were flying match boxes. Anytime somebody suggest that one can bring down a comercial plane with a bolt action or semiauto 50cal is just showing how litle they know about them.     And this comes from two NY times articles and a 60 minute segment. So that means the next news reports I hear on skydiving I can entirely believe as factual. I doubt it. And I am sure you would not either. The point is have they found jobs like that i'm sure they have. Is it the norm I doubt it. I have been in trase jobs for a long time and like was pointed out earlier that sounds like helpers wages. After they leared somemore about the job and proved themselve they would move up to another clasification and payscale. Hell i could go get a job tomorrow that pays $15.00 an hour to set on my ass and watch somebody weld while i hold a fire extinguisher. But I would never be able to stay awake doing that. So I will stick to being a lowley millwright. Point is dont believe everything you read or see on tv. Handguns are only used to fight your way to a good rifle

    Its people like you that think they know the laws but in reality dont that give out bad information. I have made three ar-15 lowers two rifles and one with a 10 inch barrel that is a pistol. And the BATF are ok with it. I have even made some semi auto belt fed machine guns and broke no laws doing so. So you might want to educate yourself on laws before you say that people will end up in federal prison. Handguns are only used to fight your way to a good rifle

    So, then . . . "Assault Weapons" . . . are in fact different than hunting rifles. And since they are -specifically- designed for the purpose of killing human combatants they have no business in the hands of the vast majority of people. Thanks. Yes they are different. A assault rifle is full automatic but thanks to politicions that term has now come to include semi-automatic versions as well. My HK91 is no more deadly than a. 308 semi-automatic deer rifle but since it looks just like a G3 wich is an asault rifle capable of full auto it winds up on tbe assault weapon ban list. Just goes to show how people are scared of the evil black rifles. But since my HK91 was not designed to kill enemy combatants or even be on a batlefield please explain to me why it should be clasified as an assault weapon?     This nature apparently was disregarded. Nonsense. There is ALWAYS a Marine unit at US Embassies. How large can be a quibbling point, but to say the inherent danger of the position was disregarded is hogwash. How large might be a quibbling factor to you. But i would think that for the ones that lost there lives the differrence between a squad and a battallion means alot. I would think it just might mean the difference of life and death. Although that means; more of the attakers would have been skilled im sure you would have been okay with that. But the four US citizens knew the chance. Your disspicable.
