Are there really that many crooked skydivers?
BETO74 replied to catfishhunter's topic in The Bonfire
I came across some crooks while selling gear nothing original, but I must say the times I sold my gear was people who entrusted me with the money first before I even sent the canopy or gear.! very trusted I always thought "man if I was a scammer I could get away with taking the money" ofcourse I was always upfront about giving my address phone and refrences, Still I had sent canopies as far as Australia from the US never had a problem explaining that they will have to wait until funds were clear etc! I guy once meet me in a gas station to pay me cash all 20 bill a rig of 4,000 that was a pack of cash! http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html -

I would like to hear opinions in the less than relevant case of the birther or the now even less important academic records. Do you agree with Donald or you think is gone bananas? http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

***If you have a high rate of descent, PLF. If you have a high forward speed, slide. If you have a high rate of descent and a high forward speed, kiss your ass goodbye. Agree! http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

BETO74 replied to loopyF's topic in Events & Places to Jump

Cypres2 cutter broken, any rigger feedback?
BETO74 replied to GravityGirl's topic in Gear and Rigging
QuoteDid you consult Airtec, and if yes, what was their reply? Do the rig manufacturers have to ban the Cypres 2 now? ________________________________________________ No just ban Mirage containers problem solve! Just kidding http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html -

How many in here using rokinon 8mm canon lens manual
BETO74 replied to BETO74's topic in Photography and Video

Bite the bullet, tell her your thoughts and help her make a censious decision, I rather risk her friendship knowing I did what I believe was the right thing. If the friendship was strong enough she will understand you are protecting her if it wasnt strong enough then you can walk away knowing you did what was best. besides if roles were reversed would you like her to tell you? I know I rather hear it. I been in both ends a different situation I had lost friends due to being honest, I also being on the receiving end never had a problem hearing a friends opinion http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

About 5 years ago Mirage rigs had a bad badge of reserve pins that bend under regular use the had a mandatory check on all their rigs lifting the rig from the pin see if the pin bend, that much bend on a reserve pin is un acceptable and should be changed manufacture should be notified too. A reserve pin bend add pounds to the cut away process. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

I need to create a VR walk of a mechanical piece I'm very proficient at CAD I figure that I can create the renderings at a different angles to create a VR quicktime file the problem is Im not familiar with VR quicktime any suggestions or maybe an easy way of creating a 360 view of a mechanical piece? Thanks http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

I had jumps Katanas 120/ 107 / 98 sizes the Katana 98 was too ground hungry I was loading it somewhere in the 2:0 Now I fly a velo 96 and I can only compare it with the Katana 107. The velo has a better glide ratio front risers feel heavier than the Katana so yes I can say Velo "flies big" compared to the Katana in my opinion http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

[quoBut skyhook has one advantage at time of cutaway. Everything stays together and you only have to chase one thing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Only about 80-90 % they stay together. And if you lose your main, your freebag goes as well. Blue skieste] I guess it depends on how you read the statitstics I had 2 skyhook cut aways two of them the free bag did not stay with the main so thats a 100% of my jumps it did not work as intended! I really do not care I do believe the skyhook save me in at least one instance where I was too low after fighting a linetwist with a Katana 107. I have two other cut aways with no RSL and I dont think my reserve would had the chance to inflate completetly on that occasion so yes I agree with if you have to use a skyhook to save your life cuz you are low you had made a series of bad decisions that put you in that spot http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

***There's being "right" and there's having class. Those comments may be right, but they certainly have no class. Agree 100% Also is been said: All great Architects have great egos, I guess the same can be said about great skydivers, I m yet to know the first one without a great ego to add to the problem there is also shitty skydivers with great egos and nothing to show for those I have problems with! http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

They are both freefly friendly the only difference is size smaller more narrow containers are called Micron same option are avaiiable on both first see what type of canopy you want main and reserve see if is availe on both Im not sure the Yoke design fits better in the micron option not sure is available on regular vectors http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
