Sorry to break this to you, but you were taught wrong. What makes you the authority on the teachings of the Catholic church? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

He told Michael Moore he wasn't qualified...
Jimbo replied to freeflydrew's topic in Speakers Corner
He might not have the skills necessary to be an effective field operative, but does he need those skills to run the organization? The entire BOD at my employer doesn't know jack about Unix, but they do a pretty good job at keeping us afloat and more importantly, me employed. Great - we're still calling it a documentary. This article is about as insightful as the Republicans thread, the Kerry's Resume thread, or the Bush's resume thread. It's crap. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. Bush Tax Cuts Tilted to Rich - report by the NON-PARTISAN CBO
Jimbo replied to PhillyKev's topic in Speakers Corner
The CBO may be non-partisan, but the article (or at least the information given to the writer) isn't: The report by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office and calculations by congressional Democrats based on the CBO findings . . . - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. Good idea. Pro Tracks, like the Neptune, apparently, exhibit the same kind of wacky behaviour when the battery is low. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Christ, Bill. You're in Rantoul, surrounded by skydivers, beer, food, golf carts, etc . . . Have you -NOTHING- better to do? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

And that is a poor reason to vote Kerry, or for that matter, any other candidate. It's a sad time we live in. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Criminals, by definition, don't obey the law. All the laws in world won't get a criminal to fix his car. We don't need more laws to tell the law abiding citizen to fix his car, because he's a law abiding citizen we don't have to worry about him. Is it sinking in yet? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=615&e=5&u=/nm/20040810/pl_nm/campaign_bush_dc The Bush campaign has been pressuring Kerry to say whether he would have still voted for the Iraq war given the fact that no weapons of mass destruction have been found. Kerry on Monday said he would have voted to give the president authorization to use force against Iraq "but I would have used that authority effectively." Is that a flip or a flop? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

No it's not. Gun control has no impact on the life of a criminal. Get it? What Ron is referring to is the laws we have to punish those who commit violent crimes, and crimes committed with guns. If we would take the time to actually enforce the laws we have we wouldn't half the problems we do today. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Yes, we all know that Bush's plan isn't perfect. But the article is about Kerry's plan. Do you understand the difference? It's Kerry who's running around telling the world that he has a plan, but he can't talk about it. Wanna talk about Bush's plan? Start another thread. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Really? It seems that Kerry is trying to promise one. If nothing else, he's suggesting that he has one. I'm just waiting for Read my lips! US troops out of Iraq now. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Ya think? But Kerry has a plan! That he can't share with anyone because it's top secret. That article made Kerry sound like an arragont blowhard. They'll listen to ME he says. Listen or not, there are only a few countries on the planet that can contribute enough troops to allow the US an exit from Iraq, and they aren't about to pony them up. Nevermind that the Iraqi citizens don't want troops from ANY nation - they want everyone out. What a jackass. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Of course it's unreasonable to expect the police to be able to protect all of the citizens, hell, I'm not even sure that they can protect MOST of the citizens. I'd love to know where the idea came from that it isn't. People - the police are report writers - with the exception of a few sting operations here and there they show up AFTER the crime has been committed. Why trust anyone but yourself to protect you? It just isn't realistic. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

It's not square (or rectangular), so I'm not sure what else you would call it. It just goes to support Bill's earlier statement that there's more to the performance (or danger factor) of a canopy than just the cut of the wing. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. Sorry, but no they're not. The other hybrid from PD that's very similar to the Navigator is, though, the Silhoette (sp?). Sorry, but yes they are. From PD's own web page Canopy model: Navigator 200 Area (SQ Ft): 200 MIN (Lbs): VLC STUDNT (Lbs): 130 NOVICE (Lbs): 140 INT (Lbs): 200 ADV (Lbs): 240 EXP (Lbs): 240 MAX (Lbs): 240 SPAN (FT.): 19.07 CHORD (center/end FT.): 9.17/8.05 ASPECT RATIO: 2.52:1 It's tapered, Dave.
