Just heard a little lead in for tonight's news that Delaware and PA, or is it PA and NJ, or DE and NJ - anyhow - that they're in a rush to enact new local laws now that the AWB is gone. Anyone else hearing similar stories? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

OK, I'll give you this one, the claim of 100 to 500 tons seems excessive, doesn't it? However, I was thinking - what if we had told the American people (or the world, for that matter), that SH had a few thousand, or even a few hundred gallons of some pretty nasty stuff. Do you think that would have flown? Remember, those quantities are enough to create a situation much worse than 9/11. But, come on, a few hundred or a few thousand gallons? That's nothing. Right? My point is that I don't think it's possible to convey the potency of these weapons/agents/chemicals (call them what you will) without a bit of exaggeration. I have no idea if that's the case, just one of a million scenarios (about about a million different things, too ) going through my head right now. Wouldn't Ricin, Sarin, and DU bombs qualify? Regarding the need for a delivery system, do you really think they need a complex delivery system? For terrorism, what better delivery system is there than someone taking this stuff over the border in a suitcaseor mailing it to himself FedEx? The quantify of Sarin and Ricin found in Iraq was certainly enough to claim several thousand innocent lives, isn't that justification enough? We know that our border security isn't all it could be, it's hardly inconceivable to me that someone could have easily snuck in enough of something to make life pretty nasty for us here at home. As far as the rest of it is concerned, I think someone posted some of Kay's notes in another thread. It's worth reading. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Quite a few folks, actually. Firefox is finally getting some momentum from those fed up with Microsoft's bug ridden Internet Explorer. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

The link here: http://www.dropzone.com/gear/Detailed/95.html for VSE seems to be incorrect. More specifically, this one: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/gear/jump.cgi?ID=95. As there are currently several ways to get the site it might be best to ask Kelly or his webmaster which one they prefer. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Don't keep it in PMs. The forums are here for a reason and it's likely that there are others with similar questions. Hell, I'd like to see the responses because I find it interesting. I'm sure that others would also. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

You are aware that we had intel besides our own backing up the claim that SH had weapons of mass destruction, correct? Edit: Speaking of Kay http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1245936#1245936. - Jim - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

He didn't lie. It appears that he was mistaken, but unless you'd like every mistaken, misunderstood, or ultimately incorrect piece of information -you've- ever given to be called a lie, I suggest you reevaluate your position. This just occured to me, so maybe it's way off base, but . . . We got a big slap in the face on 9/11/01, many say it was due to our ignoring key intelligence, or not acting on the intel we had. Soon after 9/11 we get intel from reliable sources that says Iraq does have weapons of mass destruction. Can you imagine the fallout if we ignored that and he did have WMD? Can you? Just like Vietnam, this is a new war for the Western world. As we navigate our way through this new war there are going to be some issues, no doubt; but to imply malicious intent when have no proof that such intent exists is just wrong. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. I'm at the coffee shop picking up a pound of my favorite brew when I notice two magazines with cardboard covering the cover photo; Maxim and FHM. I peeled back the cardboard expecting to find some nakedness but instead found nothing more than a woman in a bikini on each cover, "Huh, that's wierd", I thought. Looking around at the rest of the magazine rack I noticed Psychology Today with a man and a woman embraced in a nude hug, more than one female fitness magazine with photos similar to the Maxim and FHM magazines, and some other magazine with a woman in a bikini. Why are the bikini clad women on Maxim and FHM somehow more offensive to those sensitive coffee-shop goers than the bikini clad women on the fitness magazines or the nude couple on Psychology Today? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. The two major parties - hell, ALL parties, will always pick the most 'electable' candidate. It's unfortunate in this case (and in the past Presidential election) that the best candidate wasn't chosen. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Bad spot + pilot 'chute in tow = ...
Jimbo replied to Frenchy68's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
More often than not, I think, when a pilot chute gets stuck in the jumper's burble it is because the jumper executed a lazy throw. You can't just take the pilot chute out of the pouch and lazily let it go. You need to throw that pilot chute away from you like it's a live grenade. We all get complacent, maybe we're tired, and make this mistake from time to time. Looking over your shoulder changes your body position and allows the pilot chute to escape your burble. A good positive throw will eliminate the need to do this. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed. -
Caddell: Dan Rather May Have Cost Kerry the Election
Jimbo replied to Steel's topic in Speakers Corner
CBS needs to make their sources known before they can be considered unimpeachable. I don't see that much has changed. CBS is still standing by their story but seems to have offered no new evidence. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed. -

How do you know she didn't? What, pray tell, does a Secret Service agent look like? Looks to me like it's turned into bullshit shouting match. That guy's an asshole! That woman is a bitch! Iraq may not have had direct involvement with 9/11, however, it is not disputed that Iraq did knowingly provide safe haven to some of the terrorist scum who were known to have had direct involvement with 9/11. Your statement, I feel, is not entirely honest. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Your count is incorrect, likely too specific. At a minimum, it should include Kallend's reference earlier in this thread. All that said, I do commend you for taking the time to count the instances. I also recommened a hobby. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
