Old Photo--Southwest Airlines near miss
ltdiver replied to ltdiver's topic in Skydiving History & Trivia
So what's the story surrounding this picture? Demo? Where? Date? Other participants? Wonder if the NTSB has a report of this from the plane captain's point of view... Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Old Photo--Southwest Airlines near miss
ltdiver replied to ltdiver's topic in Skydiving History & Trivia
Browsing the internet (looking for pictures from a particular cameraflyer) and found this! http://www.skydiveworld.com/gallery/unknown_may00.jpg How often do you hear skydivers tell stories of near misses. How often do you get to see the proof! From this web page: http://www.skydiveworld.com/english/gallery.html Yeowzer! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
VIDEO: How to build a camera helmet in 10 minutes
ltdiver replied to The111's topic in Photography and Video
Affirmative! And particle dust all over the bedroom! As the rest of you, I also have a new respect for the work that goes into one of those beautiful helmets! I'd love one myself but have neither the time (nor patience) to take a project like that on! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Agreed. And yet the 2000 and 2004 Iowa caucus winners went on to be their party's nominee. And that's exactly what we should do.

About 1/2 way through this interview on Youtube. I'm liking what I'm hearing. Very succinct and direct in his views. As Ted Sorenson stated: "Good Judgement". http://youtube.com/watch?v=dJut4-dHuV8&feature=related Pull up a chair and listen. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

John F. Kennedy's Ted Sorenson on Obama. Food for thought. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

And now, the actual games begin. What we've had up to now was more akin to the clowns running around the audience before the main show in the circus starts. With any luck, we'll now hear less and less of the clowns and the major players take the stage. Any wonder that this tune seems to be the theme song to this race up 'til now? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Looks like they like Obama vs Huckabee at this first caucus. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Ours here in San Bernardino liquidated and shut down last year. Got a steal on a 500GB firewire external HD before the doors shut. Pity. I liked to browse their store. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Google Earth Drop Zone Project -- Ideas and Discussion
ltdiver replied to quade's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Although this would be a nice addition, perhaps not too practical in that prices change all the time. Maybe locating where you want to travel, then checking the DZ's own (updated) web site would be more accurate? Just a thought. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Anyone want to see what a $7000 t-shirt looks like?
ltdiver replied to diablopilot's topic in The Bonfire
Congratulations, JP! No shirt-tail cutting? No tie-cutting. Guess we'll have to ask for a case of then? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

And this is where the First Amendment breaks down.
ltdiver replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
We could go socialist and pay 70% of our income to the government.... Debt is debt regardless of the political persuasion of the nation. We ARE a nation of debtors. At some time our creditors will have had enough. We owe more than $1Trillion to "socialist" China. And how many trillions are owed to the U.S. from other countries? I completely agree with you. And yet, shouldn't there be a little warning bell that goes off in anyone's brain when earthly riches are promised from the pulpit? Even I didn't have to get to 6th grade math to realize this in my youth. Weren't we all taught from our parent's knee "Store up your riches in heaven"? Unfortunately we live in a world where the gambling mindset and those that prey upon it is growing larger and larger. In my mind the people who give to these 'prosperity preachers' and expect a large reward for doing so are no different than those who go to a casino, sit their butt down, and whittle away their days/nights expecting to walk out with a wad of cash. Both proprietors are preying on this mind set. Just with a different twist. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Very interesting. One little quirk, though. It appears that using the A/V trick disables the internal mic? So, for tandem operations this would mean that we would have to remember to unplug it for the pre-jump interviews, plug it in before jumping, then plug it back in for the post-jump party in the landing area? Or am I interpreting this incorrectly? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Now I'm not a swordsman, but aren't right handed people going to have their scabbard on the left hip? So if they're on the left side of the road, near the castle, their sheathed swords, in their scabbards, would be hitting the castle wall. Right? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
