  1. I second that. His FTP appears to -not- have a cutaway system on it at all. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  2. Good question... I don't know. I've seen Ckret reference MSL Pilots reference MSL in all their talk. Even jump pilots. It's us skydivers who get hung up on our AGL lingo. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. Very nice new helmet there, JP! But what's the story on that ratty looking ring site clamp??! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    New dog!

*** Love the cat in the background! Here, kitty kitty kitty! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. As opposed to a 'far miss', wise ass. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Oh yeah. My wife actually has better tools than the vet! The last time he visited the vet, she was astonished at how clean his teeth were and even complimented Debbie on her work! His breath, nevertheless, still stinks. Does she brush his tongue? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    New dog!

And owls. My sister's little long haired Chihuahua got carried off by one when she let him out for a quick minute before bedtime. Kris...you'll have so much fun with (JoJo) when you get him home! Post pics (or video) of Jones' first impression! I'm sure it will be priceless! The major thing that you'll find with dogs vs cats is that you can't leave the critter at home with a bowl of food and a litter box over the weekend. You have to take him with you! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. I love the observer who remarked that he was inspired to join them! http://video.ap.org/v/Default.aspx?g=5d223b04-30b4-400e-b8c3-e00c87e2c949&mk=en-ap&f=1119853&fg=email ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. Actually, more. Wow. He really -is- an asshat. Canada can keep him. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  10. And thus my post directing him to this information....
  11. So, is Joe Soares as self centered and egotistical as the documentary portrays him to be? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. Now that is a very interesting observation. Not sure what to make of it cos it might lead to all sorts of speculation...but it certainly is an interesting observation. It -had- been said that when the rigs were requested by the FBI the owner did not know what they would be used for. He sent what was requested, but nothing was said about the gear having to be air worthy. Is this still the case, or has more information on this transaction come to light? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  13. How about This very sweet TJKN from SunPath! Just the size for your 135 canopy, and the "A Yoke" should be good for your short stature. You can have them re-size the laterals down from the 18's very easily.
  14. So, okay. When they settled...THAT's the paper the we'd all like to see...but is being kept out of our reach. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  15. Very interesting read. Now, more than ever, I'd like to see the final ruling. Too bad it's under lock and key. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. If you look at the "Teams and Records" picture of the team "Perrisites", you'll see vintage 1971 gear. No wrist altimeters seen, but if you look hard enough you'll see altimeters on the gear itself. http://www.ParachuteHistory.com/men/fieldings.html edit to add: If you look at Al and Bud Krueger's gear they have yet to connect their belly wart reserves. Earlier in this thread they were discussing exactly what the "reserve D-rings" were. Well, take a look and see them on the front webbing of the brother's gear. The others had their reserve packs on for this picture. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  17. Don't they have a place called the "Dungeon" or something? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  19. *Gasp!* You mean customers would find their -nearest- DZ and save travel time and headaches? Imagine that! "Local Businesses Prosper"--Film at 11. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  20. I think you answered your own question. DZO's would not lose 1/3 of their business if Skyride went bye-bye. Those same good customers would find the closest DZ to their location the way they always -used- to do. Honestly, through the yellow pages, internet (DZ's OWN listing), or word of mouth. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. My advice is for the lot of them to just make up new last names when they get that marriage name-change stuff done. Same price. It'd be like Ellis Island all over again... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  22. You got me beat. Mine was 28#...flying reserve side on a heavy AFF Level 1 student. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  23. Which is what little ol' me has to do. 13# with a 4-way, plus wings (for the exit and flying close). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  24. No, the most difficult slot is the cameraflyer! Now, don't laugh. Think about it. If -one- flyer doesn't make it in...or screws up...they get blamed for their mistake and usually laughed at. If a cameraflyer misses his slot (which includes a working camera, too) it reflects on EVERYBODY. There's nothing to show, thus a total waste of a jump (no debrief, etc). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
