ok... so has anyone used that location to try track the flight path, rather than working backwards from where the money was found and how it may or may not have got there? (sorry.. not sure how to search for that ) If memory serves, since the hunter didn't make a note of the exact place he picked up the placard, there's no exact way to pinpoint that location. It'd be a guess... So, to answer your question, nobody's confessed (here) to following up on tracking that area, looking for Cooper Clues. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Post #1339 in the previous thread. Search found it in milliseconds.

The money being planted in '79 and 'found' in '80 still stands (if it indeed was planted and not flown down). The other dates do not matter (of the ones I quoted above). If Duane found the money (him being on the ground) he'd want to read up on every available theory and story that was published for the public's consumption. The books did -not- have to be in print before he 'hid' the money...whenever that happened. Still a theory, I know...yet not blown out of the sky (IMHO). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

USPA - Jan Meyer Impeachment??
ltdiver replied to Thanatos340's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Add John DeSantis to your list of replying on the issue. I e-mailed him on January 17 when this thread was started to ask what he knew about the issue. His reply: "I did not know anything until i got to the BOD meeting. I have no ideal what this impeachment is for." So, another nail in the EC's coffin. They don't communicate such action to the rest of the board and they have to learn about it at the meeting. No prior knowledge allowed? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Don't know how long their banning is for, but I agree with you. I hope they return when they can. I miss Ckret's input and even if DB is never found (or the case figured out) I've learned alot just by reading their posts. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

This theory seems to fit with Skyjack71's husband, but in a different way. Look at it this way. He -may- have been the contact person on the ground (whether planned or accidental). Fits that he has -part- of the profile tilted towards him, but not all of it. Duane -wasn't- DB Cooper. He was his accomplice. He may have been the one who either before or after the incident studied the terrain and the story of the hijacking. That's why he appeared to be an expert to Jo. The book he read...not about HIM, but about DB Cooper...the man who's money he obtained. DB died on impact. Duane reaped the reward. Then to test to see if the FBI had any knowledge or leads in the case, he returned to the location and 'planted' the money found in 1980. The FBI bit, and bit hard. They searched and revealed the knowledge they -did- have to the public and Duane saw they were still off track. He may have smiled and realized that he was home free. Just a theory, but after reading all the posts since Jo's original request for info, this theory seems to hold a little water. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Curious. As the percentages start coming in I look to the left of the ledger. Why is it they can claim -any- percentage when there's 0% of the precincts reporting in? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

The results are starting to trickle in. Too soon to point in any one direction, yet it's fascinating to see its development. CNN's Report of Super Tuesday 2008 It's almost 5:00pm PST here in CA and only a few states have reported in. So far the Republicans can't make up their mind and Obama's 100% ahead of Clinton. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Jerry always struck me as a personality larger than life. One of the first pro's I met when I walked on the Perris DZ as a newbie, yet one of the nicest...pulling you into the conversation because you were one of the 'team'. Last time I saw Jerry was at one of the Perris CReW Camps in preparation for the World Record 2005. He'd come back home to qualify for the event and help out where he could. I talked a bit with Jerry, then, about his duties in Iraq. He was very enthusiastic and was looking forward to going back. He enjoyed his work there and saw its potential. He did not want to stay in the States as long as he could do good there, where he was needed. This impressed me so much, yet was also so out of my reach to understand. Jerry will always be larger than life. Thank you for sharing with us what that's like. Lori Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Thanks for the heads up. I'd still choose to carry my rig and camera equipment and pay the extra charge, then let them handle either one of them. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I was trying to remember what that commercial was advertising. I only remembered the screaming animals and laughing. Thanks for tracking that down.

Just a little suggestion here. If there is reference to the other thread it would help everyone reading here if you referenced post number. Some people have their settings different in how many posts per page are on the screen, and thus throws the page number reference off. But post numbers remain the same.

New Paint Job on our Lovely C-182.
ltdiver replied to Unstable's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Exactly why I wrote this. Some are just too lazy to keep up on taking care of it. Correction. I just contacted my sister. They KEPT the polished plane and sold the painted one. So, I guess THESE POLISHING TIPS not only apply to their airstream but their Luscombe too. -

That's not it at all. They just turned their attention to polishing another mode of transportation instead. Oh, they still have their airplane...and travel alot with it (airshows and stuff), but when the weather's not cooperative they use this instead. http://globetrotter64.home.att.net/ They've won all kinds of awards for their work on this vintage airstream trailer that they rescued. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

ltdiver replied to Unstable's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
When my sister and her husband met they both had Luscombe aircraft. One one polished silver (bare metal) with blue stripes...the other painted silver with blue stripes. Since they like flying together they finally sold one. They sold the polished one. Why? Because it took SO much time to keep it polished and looking nice. Much easier maintenance on the painted one. -

Interesting that you say this. When crocs first came out they were not allowed where I work (hospital). THEN the administrator got herself a pair and the policy immediately changed! I don't have a pair (yet). Can't get over the fugly factor.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
