  1. The 750XL's door size is only 50x45. Our Otter's door is 56x50. Those few inches can mean alot in launching a better 4-way exit...or chunking a 16-way. Still don't like the look of the tail's stabilizer's height and distance from the door. There've been many a cameraflyer who's hit a Caravan's tail. And remember Raoul and his camera helmet slap? Cracked it, didn't it? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  2. Love the eyes and mind, but it's the rear that catches my eye as they pass by. (However, it's the feet that got me in trouble the last time around...) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. So, how was it, Jason? Didn't stick around to see your hour of bliss in the 'crack pipe'. (that's what it's called now, the tunnel, ya know. I mean, -everybody- is grinin' like a fool while in there and they look like they're on a high for hours after they're out. ) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  4. Ya know we'll be waiting for you, babe.
  5. Hey there, Deuce.... After spending over 10 minutes with the BatRak strapped to my head (doing a "CReW-type jump for a Mr. Bill dive), my jaw ached something terrible. I've jumped my daBomb for over 1,000 jumps and never had this happen on any skydive (including CReW jumps I've filmed). But the BatRak kicked my ass! (or jaw, if I'm more correct on the anatomy part of it). What have you found works in these situations? Do you not tighten the chin strap quite as much and suffer the consequences of not having the site as accurate as possible, or is there a way of angling the balance that helps out? Love the shots I got...just not the pain! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  6. So, I got this picture of some friends attempting their first Mr. Bill dive today.
  7. Did ya notice the dates on this thread? If you -really- got 23 jumps just today (12/21) we all hate you (in the nicest possible way)... 1:1:1 ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. Please do. It'll be interesting to see how 4-way teams like the platform to launch from...especially long formations. (and don't forget about the camera step impression....talk to your cameraflyers and get their input as well...) Thanks! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. When I clicked on this thread I thought it was going to be something about 'Mickey'! (how disappointing....that would be alot more interesting to see him explode don't you think? ) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  10. 372-way Formation in Living Color! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  11. Absolutely! Can I have your autograph?
  12. Keep up-to-date on the whole thing at The World Team. Do it again, guys!
  13. How would not having a log book help with cheating at Nat's? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  14. Nice set-up. What's with the toilet paper roll? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  15. Well, the WFFC is a beast unto itself. I can't speak for it, but perhaps skybytch could chime in here. If you understand Nationals, think of Perris like a big Nationals venue. Lots of people to try and keep in order (as far as licensure, USPA 3rd party insurance, and currency) and you'll understand what it just might be about. As for keeping a written word on your jumps in additions to your Protrack. Might be a good idea anyway. People have been known to lose an instrument like that in freefall....or heaven forbid the little computer element goes out...and you lose record of your jumps that way. I know some people who keep a Protrack -and- an on-line log book just for safe keeping. And when traveling, they just print out their log book and they're good to go. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. We're offering the "digital/digital package" at Jim Wallace Skydving now. DVD with digital still included in the burning. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  17. It may pain people to know that at EVERY USPA Nationals I've attended they've wanted to see your log book....for currency and proof of licensure (you really -do- have enough jumps for a 'C' license and can participate in 'Advanced' 4-way, for instance.) Be prepared if you're not at your home DZ and want to compete at a Nationals. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  18. It is highly preferred that the cameraflyer be an AFFI, and the majority of cameraflyers that work for the school at Perris are. If not, they have over 1,000 jumps and are put through a screening process...PLUS they have to come highly recommended by those who already work there. You just can't walk up, introduce yourself, show your log book and get invited to participate. Even if you've jumped with tandems at another DZ, they'll most likely call up your previous 'employer' and check you out before letting you jump along with them. It's not only the student's life they're having to consider, but also their own. I don't blame -any- tandem instructor who wants to be overly cautious with those who fly along with them. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  19. Yep, come along and enjoy the entertainment! Observers are welcome. It sure if fun watching the different levels of tunnel-talent. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  20. We can tell you're excited there Shark! You gonna be awake for today's sky-jumping? Glad you came over to pay us Perris-ites a visit. Ya'll come back now, ya hear! ;^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. You -did- hear, didn't you, that Michael Jackson has converted to the religion of Muslim, right? Truth is stranger than fiction. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  22. Hope they keep the 'sun logo' like they did the flower on "Super Otter". Gave it kind of a heritage of where it came from. Even though I like the Perris logo on S.O. I still miss the orchid. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  23. Ok, I'll play. A friend sent these to me in an e-mail last week. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  24. Try Apple's iTunes Store. Now for Windows too. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  25. I have Proof and Fandango in my movie collection. The best scene in the whole story? When Truman teaches the FJC! Thanks for the web site. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
