Ok....they were expecting a fireball when they recieved the 'Mayday' call. It didn't flame up. Now, I'm not a pilot, but 2 thoughts come to mind.... 1) No fireball=he ran out of fuel. or 2) No fireball=very skilled pilot. Discuss.... :^) http://www.longmontfyi.com/Local-Story.asp?ID=1421 Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

DAMN! I wish I knew where that fingertip came from . . .

Medical personnel have to be finger printed nowadays, too. When they first receive their license to practice in the medical field. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

I think the finger's from the poor guy that got his hands, face, foot, and testicles eaten off by the chimpanzee. http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-chimps21apr21,1,7889623.story?ctrack=1&cset=true ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Skydive City Banned from Skydiving--Australia
ltdiver replied to ltdiver's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Just saw this on the news wire. Banned....Got back into the air with a successful appeal....Banned again? What gives? Locals opinion wanted. http://www.geelonginfo.com.au/readarticle.asp?articleid=15450 ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Sorry. I read this and believed that you had one of those lovely overhangs we see sometimes. Yeah, I completely agree with the 'I love the old line of Sony's' story. I would have kept my TRV8 if it weren't for the fact it was completely worn out. The TRV22 isn't bad, but still has that annoying touch screen you have to play with. 45 pounds! You know what they say about the size of a man's neck.... How -you- doin'? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Valuable lesson learned. Perhaps this time it'll be worth mounting the camera so the LANC port is on the 'inside position' on the helmet, rather than exposed to riser slap? My video camera's LANC port is on the right side of the camera. That camera is mounted on the left side of the helmet (top mount). My still camera's remote port is on the left side of that camera. Guess where it is on the helmet?...mounted on the right side. Makes for a little tightness, having both the CamEye II and the Conceptus tongue switch side by side, but it sure protects them from getting swiped off.

Still Shutter Release with Visual Indicator?
ltdiver replied to CTSkydiver's topic in Photography and Video
Why don't you invent it, then tell us how valuable it can be. Marketing...it's what we're all aspiring towards.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

Border Collies are great dogs! I had one from the day he was 2 years old until he passed at age 13. Wonderful friend and companion. Very loyal and intelligent. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Again, referencing from the USPA SIMS here. 1800' is the minimum altitude a C and D license holder is to make the decision to get rid of a mal and deploy the reserve. Now, put on top of that a camera....I'd raise that hard deck for sure! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

It's your friend's copywrite protection kicking in. Ok, seriously.....what kind of computer, HD space, and memory do you have? Is it enough to run this program? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Yeah, well, this is the 2nd wettest winter California's had in over 150 years! Sure, we like the flowers but the weeds stink! And the mosquito population is rising. All things that Southern California isn't used to. The only positive thing is that our AFF students are learning how to be a bit more accurate in their landings...either that or land in the mud then pay -more- $$ to have the rig cleaned. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Just put my dog out for the night and was surprised to find it was raining, yet again, here in Southern CA. What's up with that! What, was somebody jealous that we -finally- got a gorgeous weekend the past 2 days? Grrrrrr...... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

http://www.japantoday.com/e/?content=news&cat=1&id=334632 Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at 07:24 JST TOKYO — A wheelchair-bound man died Monday in an accidental fall from a ride simulating a sky dive at an indoor amusement park in Tokyo's Daiba waterfront. Junichi Tsubouchi, of Uchinada in Ishikawa Prefecture, fell about 5 meters from the ride, called "VIVA! SKYDIVING," at the JOYPOLIS amusement park at around 1 p.m., the police said. Tsubouchi had been on a visit to Tokyo since Sunday along with two care workers. The police are questioning staff who worked at the attraction on suspicion of professional negligence resulting in death because they were aware that Tsubouchi was taking the ride without wearing a safety belt. The man could not tighten the safety belt because he was too big but he agreed to take the ride anyway, the staff were quoted as saying.
