Great skydiving begets great video. I'd be prepared to pay for the quality you'll be getting.

How much are you willing to pay, or are you looking for a handout? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

1) One has earned the respect he/she deserves and does not demand it. 2) The other demands respect and does not deserve it, nor compliments the word. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Like a 50 way that held forever and ever and ever. I remember thinking....."WHy the hell didn't we plan a second point?" Yeah, why didn't we?!? Look, we all came off two great big-way weekends in preparation for just -this- jump! Didn't Paul Haynes know this and plan accordingly? Sheesh, you'd -think- a guy just turning 50 that day would have had all his marbles in a row and plan ahead, 'eh? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Another very nice article on Rik and his wife, Hattie. Wish we all could live our lives as such and enjoy it clear until the end, having wonderful friends and memories along the way. ltdiver http://www.benningtonbanner.com/Stories/0,1413,104~8678~2873414,00.html Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Ah Karen, No!!! I'll say it along with you...DAMN DAMN DAMN!!! I was just at Bonehead yesterday. I'll send Linda this link and perhaps you two could talk. I asked in another thread about the tendancy of the FTP coming off people's head and a few people have responded there. Didn't you have the latch protection fabricated to prevent riser strike from doing this? DAMN DAMN DAMN!!! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

http://www.kake.com/news/headlines/1582022.html Didn't think this warrented posting in the Incidents Forum, but thought this needed to be brought to the forefront now that skydiving is in earnest now that Spring/Summer is upon us. At Perris this weekend we hit some rather nasty turbulance, and dust devils could be seen spawning all around. For others it may be a tree line, and others buildings. Please, Please, Please be careful out there guys and keep your heads up for these nasty obstacles against good canopy control and landing. We almost lost a brother here last month to some high end turbulance coming off a building at Elsinore. He's extremely lucky to be walking and talking today. He's out of the air for 6 months, but will be back after that. Small price to pay for getting too close to something that can and will kill you! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Ah, is your L-bracket crooked for a reason? Nice set-up, Andy.

Demo jump cancelled because of a vengeful jumper

For those who don't have the "Demonstration Jump Insurance Requirements" Form handy. Here it is in .pdf form. See attached. Notice the "Level 2 and Stadium Insurance Requirements" section. Especially "B". Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Just don't use your remote during a competition........unless you want the other cameraflyers to kill you! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Interesting idea. However, I personally haven't seen a longer "L Bracket' installed. Perhaps we just like minimizing the weight and snag force on our helmets. (besides, the kit lens that comes with the Canon cameras is extremely light). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Since there has been a very rapid and intense increase in insurance premiums, USPA has had to make the choice that in order to keep the Demo Insurance Program each skydiver who participates in a Level 2 Demo -must- have a minimum of 1,000 jumps. If this demo truly was found to have the parameters of a Level 2 demo, then everyone on the jump -must- meet this requirement, plus be a qualified PRO rated skydiver. The 1,000 jump minimum was just inacted this year. 2 years ago it would not have been a factor. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
However, if you read the subject of his message it reads: btw, it perhaps reads 'a license', not' "A" license'. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Think you missed his first point. He's talking about student status (AFF) at this time. And yes, it's a 30 day maximum between -student- jumps here before a refresher is required. IMO, safety is worth this measure. And to DOA, why don't you train with the static line method? It wouldn't matter if it's a cloudy day, then!

I didn't install it. Bonehead did. And yes, it is on the back of the helmet. I've heard some people have rigged up a cutaway for this helmet and have put a single pull to spring open -both- the chin strap and the back of the helmet at the same time. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
