  1. How cold was in on Monday morning, at altitude, in Mullen's King Air? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  2. No they are not for HALO jumps. I was just mentioning that we had them for their regular flights....not skydiver flights. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. okay....well, it would -still- be cold because the cabin wouldn't be pressurized. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  4. That's great! Has me smiling as I go out the door on my way to work.... ( skydivers know why birds sing!
  5. You wanna go up to that altitude with the door off?! ltdiver If it was a commercial airliner it probably still has oxygen masks. It would also allow you to cool the beer for later. Just put the case somewhere near the door Yes, it still has oxygen masks that drop down from the ceiling (our flight attendants nicely demonstrated this for us, as well as how to fasten and unfasten our seat belts... ). I'm just not accustom to (-) 30 degrees on the way to altitude! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  7. The DC-9 taking off on Day 3's pictures is of the take-off for a fly-by demo at Rantoul. We wanted to do a 100 foot fly-by but the FAA said 'no lower than 500 feet', so we complied. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. Well, the DC-9 made it to Rantoul and back to home base, Perris this week! A joy to ride, with 3 flight attendants ta boot! Food, drinks, and a stand-up comedian (thanks, Scott).
  9. I think she got not only you, but whoever was within her throwing arm! Wasn't that the "AirBoss" that she nailed? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  10. Glad you liked them! It was so much fun (after dark especially) this year. btw, that's our dear "Nightingale" getting pied for her 100th! She wants us to make -sure- everyone knows that she got her obligatory pieing already so it doesn't happen again when she gets back to Perris! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  11. I'll take the 20D at 5fps for 23 frames any day.
  12. Okay, okay....just a bit delayed with these pictures, but hey it took another fun WFFC night of debauchery (those Rodriquez Bros. Ceremonies are entertaining!), a successful DC-9 flight -back- to Perris, a collapse in bed to recuperate last night in a real bed instead of a tent, and a day back at work that got in the way. Here's the pictures from Day 3 at Rantoul....
  13. Like the 60 image maintenance. But isn't 3 fps a bit slow? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  14. Not this trip. My intention was to meet new people and to add to the ever growing list of friends. In both regards this has been a resounding success. Oh, I did take my cameras and helmet, but they were best used on the ground this time around. Next weekend it's back in the air at Perris. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  15. Well, here are pics from Saturday's fun. Sorry I didn't get them up last night, but hey....I got distracted a bit.... http://www.lightdiver.com/2005.htm ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. Hammered? I don't think so...say, what was the HUGE boo boo on your face there? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  17. Video from the flight. Amy got stills. I'll take still on the way back, I guess....but I'm supposing that it will only be of everyone sleeping.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  18. Censorship? Well, perhaps the network saw what was trying to upload and kicked it back at me. I've tried uploading 2 different times and each time the network shuts down. I'm sitting -right- outside their trailer now and will see what happens. Give me a few and we'll see. edit to add: There, within 4 minutes of sitting right here, the pages loaded just fine.... :^) http://www.lightdiver.com/2005/050805.2.htm/ ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  19. Thought some might find these amuzing....and yes, the blue light special was way late in the evening.....(hey, it was cloudy all day, what more to do than pay off my first time at the convention! ) http://www.lightdiver.com/2005.htm ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  20. ltdiver

    Off to WFFC

Giving noogies right now. Sorry, RevJim, I'm here with both of them and they begged me for it.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. Although I had never met these four wonderful individuals, there have been many posts here that have made me cry. The last line of this report, especially. Fly on.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  22. Hey, if he wants vertical rather than horizontal, let him be.... ( same thing crossed my mind as well, but though he must be smart enough to have figured this little item out...hey, he's a cameraflyer, right? ) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  23. True. It's his DZ. If you don't like him then why would you want to hang with him for eternity? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  24. Perhaps this would be a good tool for parents too. Strap it to their kids and then have the parents see what they -really- come across like. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
