And its a go! Got the confirmation call today. YeeHaw! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Think REAL baggy suit (theirs, not yours). Think cone of air, not flat surface. Think slow power of air stream. Think all of this and you tell me if you're talented enough to stay in the center of the bubble, with a slow fall rate, and make it work. There are those who can, but most can't. Especially if its your first time in a tunnel. Suggestion....travel a few more hours down the road and come to Perris. You won't regret it. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Not very excited in that picture, are you? Have fun. Be safe.

General settings to use for camera flying

And don't forget about the nice 'sun' symbol for exposure setting. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
1) Don't ruin a nice freefly helmet with a camera set-up. 2) Buy a more stable platform than a mind warp for camera. You asked... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Perris Shark Inverted over Las Vegas Strip....At Night!!!!

Hey, I'm still sporting a Shark Bite on my left arm from last weekend. I love the look my co-workers or patients give me when they ask where my bruise came from. I tell them it is a Shark Bite! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
So, what would you do if you were alone in BillVon's house?
ltdiver replied to Deuce's topic in The Bonfire
Although it looks like a bag of dirty laundry, I think it's a cutaway canopy (I puzzled over this all day on Monday. Clearly I should have been thinking more about 4-way). Takes a rigger to figure it out, 'eh? ;^) I thought it looked like a huge squishy beach ball. Ya know, grown men have their toys..... < like my segway back onto topic? > ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

Well, I'd never seen this in So. Cal before last night. Fortune 500 companies are having major problems in this 100+ heat here in the area! Last night, after the movies, I went to fill up my car at the Shell station. Mind you it was 11pm at night and the temperature was -still- over 90 degrees in Ontario. Well, I slipped my card in the pump and began pumping. It got to 22 cents and it locked up! I thought, hey....first time I'd pumped a gas well dry. So, I canceled the sale and went to another station. That pump served a little better..... 23 cents and stopped. This time it wouldn't cancel out! Store manager entered the info from inside.....for a 3rd try. It wouldn't even run at all!! Geeze! My tank was almost dry, so went to another station and was able to pump o.k. (It was Chevron, if it makes a difference ). Then TODAY....I went by the bank (major player in U.S. banking) and the ATM faulted! Black lines appeared -after- I entered my info and what I wanted. No go. Then it spit money at me (the $$ amount I wanted) from my -other- account. Went inside. The tellers said it had been happening all day and they figured it was the heat. Their old ATM machines were HUGE and had air conditioners in them. These newer ones were small and did not! Dang....you'd think that being in a hot desert location would clue these major companies into making allowances for our normal heat wave every summer. Has anyone else experienced things like this with a large company? If so....is it the heat? Or something else? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Leave our camera bitch alone! He only talks when we pull his chain. Most of the time you can shut him up with the universal sign for number 1. He likes that! He really does! Ah, you know it's the little ones that make all the noise...! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

The people who I know, Pieces of Eight, all have workable prosthetic arms. They use 2 arms to steer and land their canopy. I -really- see no safe way to skydive and land as a known habit with one completely unusable arm. To say nothing about how to spread the risers and get out of simple line twists. Sorry. :^( ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

premature deployment from a casa skyvan
ltdiver replied to mikeyfred1's topic in Safety and Training
Here's another incident with an tailgate exit. A Skyvan this time, not a CASA. (pictures included). Thankfully it was only a lost shoe and torn jumpsuit....but -could- have been alot worse! http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=811229;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25; PS: There's a CASA incident mentioned on the 2nd page as well as an injury to Eliana. :^( ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Yes, this works. Your are absolutely correct. I was just giving another example. :^) I save both my original pictures on a CD (may move to DVD next) and also the 'finished product'. If I want to edit more, I do it off these.

Having gone through the loss of one eye myself, it does -not- make you disabled enough to qualify for Social Security. Disability benefit of a finite amount....maybe (worker's comp?), but nothing on-going. See here: http://www.edd.ca.gov/fleclaimdi.htm. I used it to go back to school for a new degree that was not in the high risk catagory that I had trained in previously. That is the only reason I got help. And that was to become self-suffient again, not rely on an income from someone else. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Or save it to a CD. You can't corrupt what is already saved there. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
