So... what's it like at SkyVenture Perris?
ltdiver replied to Bodyflight.Net's topic in Wind Tunnels
The tunnel was up and running this evening when I went over to see some friends fly. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Then would you be willing to pay for BASE and skydiving photographs as well? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

A picture of Bobby, for those of us who never had the pleasure of meeting such a great man... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

An early form of RW! Instead of 'pass the baton'....'pass the tuba'. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

My sister just sent me this picture from a 1971 Polular Mechanics magazine. Thought others here might enjoy it too.

Good to know. Thanks. I knew there was another reason I've always bought Canon lenses. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

You're a freeflyer? I'd go with the 0.3...unless you want to stay out of the formation to get your shots.

You've hit all the points I do not use the onboard flash. External is the way to go. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Taylor, It is good that you are mature enough to listen to those who know you at Elsinore. There are many very good cameraflyers who work there, who I respect. I hope you also include the people (or persons) who are also in the sky with the cameraflyer as people of consequence in the decision. So, if there is some 'annoyance' to hearing something over and over again, perhaps there are more than one experienced person saying the same thing? True, that a mentor (instructor) is very valuable in anything that could take your life easily. I would not attempt to rock climb without someone to 'show me the ropes'. We invite you to look back on this thread when you've been in the sport for 10 years and see if there is any more wisdom that can be gained from being 'more than a tourist' (not meant as a slam, but a quote from someone we all look up to as a mentor to the skydiving community as a whole). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

"It is Bart's hope that one day each of the bikes will be connected up to a varity of electrical appliances in an interactive display which does more than simply charge a battery bank." So, did he finally do it? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Well, the Perris DC-9 took off for New Orleans on Saturday night. It took off, did a fly-by for our U.S. Nationals Closing Ceremonies, then winged it's way south-east. It's on it's way to pick up doctors and take them to New Orleans so they can assist with the Hurricane Katrina victims. God Bless the volunteers. God Bless those they go to help. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I keep telling my patients that this would be the best way for them to get up and motivate to exercise. So many of them are couch potatoes! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Joan found an iPod at the WFFC, under the driver's seat of her rental car. She called the rental car agency...-and- Apple to report it. So far, neither has produced the owner as far as I know. The Serial Number (on the back) will give you the ID for the iPod. Call Apple and see if they can ID the owner. Another check to get it back to its owner. They're probably sick with the loss. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I've had that happen before, too. I've taken to sucking back on the tongue switch after each burst of shots, just to make sure the switch has shut off and isn't continuing to fire. I do this with 35mm film. I haven't had this problem with my digital camera (yet). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

With my camera set to 'continuous', I can feel the tongue switch pulsate on my tongue when I hold it down. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
