The Perris DC-9 does!

Yeah. Me to. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Guess you're not a real skydiver, then, are you? We all have horrible hearing from the drumming noise of our planes! I think the alarm is a great idea (the one in my post above). They interviewed teenagers who use to loiter around the shop (even when asked to leave) and they said the alarm wasn't that horrible. They could come and shop but it was enough to not to let them hang around for long. Sounds like it is a bit different than your doggie-deterant. Oh, and btw, antifreeze will attract dogs to drink it...and it kills them. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Saw this on the news this morning. Mosquito Alarm ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Congratulations, Mar! Guess you'll be doing sign language where it's too noisy to hear the spoken word anyway? Will you be as free with your schedule as before? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Christmas Gifts for Skydivers?
ltdiver replied to diablopilot's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Yeah, it is, Zee. However, I got the best Christmas gift from my 25 year old nephew this year (yeah, we already had Christmas with my family this year -
"God bless a cow" - have you heard this phrase before?
ltdiver replied to TheAnvil's topic in The Bonfire
No, but I've heard the SNL skit, "Gotta Have More Cowbell"! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
He's beautiful, Chris. Congratulations!

For those of us who live in the 'desert', we like to give the illusion of snow with the icicle mini-lights on the roof's eves.

Well, he would not be considered a 'head of state' anymore, so EO 12333 would not longer apply. By law he would no longer be protected from assassination. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Interesting that you should bring this up. I was listening to the latest podcast on Skydive Radio, with Bill Booth being interviewed. He said basically the same thing as you, citing the use of, for example: 1) mini-rings (3-ring release system) instead of the larger rings that he first patent--skydivers would rather look 'cool' than have the easier release value of the larger rings. Larger rings have more tolerance were as smaller rings have less. 2) Micro-lines instead of Dacron lines--they may pack up smaller and have less drag (thus the smaller rig and cool swoops can be made, etc), but he cited 4 deaths in the last 2 years from hard openings that would not have been so if they had had Dacron (more give and shock absorbing value in the Dacron). 3) Collapsible Pilot Chutes. They allow (again) more speed, but -can- cause malfunctions that a non-collapsible one would not do. Yes. Coolness is one of the banes of our skydiving community. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Wow. Sorry that you have to live with all of this. Don't mean to pry, but what is your age and occupation? I work with people all the time who have chronic, unrelenting pain from what you are describing. What concerns me the most is the spondylolesthesis. This could be, as you already know, something that keeps progressing and can permanently damage your nerve roots at L2-3-4. I'd seriously talk with your doctor about where you are in the stage of things and how vigorous he advises you to be. Arching can lead to spondylolesthesis progressing. --edit to add this web page which shows people a good MRI of what we're talking about. In addition to Pelican Cases, take a look at Storm Cases too. Also a quality product. Some say even more so. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Got a Pelican Case for all my cameras, helmet included, for long distance journeys. Other than that, I have a soft camera/helmet bag (from Square One) that I keep it in. The cameras stay attached to my helmet. When at the DZ, I'm usually shooting camera all day, so the cameras are either on my head or on a peg with my rig. Cameraflyers look out for each other and our helmets are very distinctive. If I'm out playing (other than shooting camera), the equipment stays locked up. Have fun!

He might just not be to lazy to use spellcheck. Not taking the time or effort to do something right says a lot about a person. Sparky Believe it or not, in the business world the first 2 things a person notices about you is your shoes and your teeth. They base their first opinion on these two items. I guess, since we can't see each other on a site like this we have to go with spelling and grammar.

Yes, they do this to us a well. For instance, the TRV19 (no DV 'in') and the TRV22 (yes DV 'in'). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I got it in an e-mail today, too. Go figure. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Turkeys really -are- very very stupid. I'm just quoting what the farmer told us (he was in the business for many many years). What do I know...I'm vegetarian! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

We used to live next door to a turkey farm. Did you know that turkeys -must- have shelter during rainy days? If not they look up, open their mouth, and drowned! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

" PC 1000 Zooning inand out on opening" Oh shoot...I thought I'd be learning a new technique with 'zooning'. Okay, seriously....at first glance it looks like you're shooting on 'auto focus'. Most of us fly 'manual focus'. Give that a try.

Thank you, Richard! He just uploaded the rest of the professional photographs from JFTC 2005 tonight. Available on Shutterfly.

My family is coming here, from all over the U.S., for Thanksgiving. Since we won't be together for Christmas we'll be celebrating that holiday here this week as well. Should I put up the Christmas lights before Thursday? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
